So much so that I shake my head when I read of posters despairing as their favourite guy is "retiring" as I can foresee their euphoric postings when the guy announces his return for a "limited time". I feel some working guys, after being around for a few years, now try to drum up business by retiring/returning, much like pop-singers with their "farewell" tours.

HaHa. Yes just like Cher's farewell tour that went on for like 4 years.....and then she didn't actually retire (thankfully). I went to one of David Bowie's "farewell" tour concerts about 15 years ago. As far as I know, he is still performing....or was as of a few years ago.
