It strikes me as funny how somone who does porn would draw the line at escorting. On the "ladder" of how far a guy is willing to go, I would think the order is something like this:

 

1. Modeling

2. Nude modeling

3. Stripping/lap dances

4. Limited escorting (few select clients, massage or posing only)

5. Full on escort with Rentboy ad

6. Porn

 

It's one thing if the porn is just solo, then its equivalent to nude modeling (#2 on the ladder). But with another person, porn is the same as having sex for money, except instead of in private, it's on film in front of others.

brent corrigan once said just because a guy does porn doesn't mean they are available to everyone or just anyone it's a job. I saw a documentary once Colton ford and his then bf Blake harper were in a club and blake harper came out crying because some jerk groped him in the club. He said porn was just a job and didn't make him a free for all for just anyone to put their hands on.

I know this is true because I have been with escorts that seem a little too turned on being with me, I don't consider myself anything better than average but I do bathe, brush and floss, and weigh less than 190. When I have commented on it, I have heard some stories about clients that are downright gross - mainly dealing with hygiene and weight.

Well that's refreshing that this comes from an independent 3rd source. Now we know that overweight clients are gross and it's great to have it confirmed.People should be happy with who they are with...not who they want.

While I wouldn't be surprised to find out that Roman escorts--at least occasionally or on the "down low", I also wouldn't be surprised if that ad was a fake. I mean the guy is a porn star--and there is very little ad copy when usually there would be much more playing up the fact of how many movies he has been in. Then you have the fact that there are only 2 pictures when he probably has a drawer or computer full of them. And the "ask me" for his fees. All of this spells out "possible scam" to me.

 

On the other topic of clients' appearances--I know having sex with me is no walk in the park. I'm always very appreciative for what the escort shares with me. Don't get me wrong-I'm clean and respectful. And please don't anyone tell me I need a better self-attitude. I do--but that has nothing to do with the subject at hand. I am no Medusa--but I own a mirror. I know what I look like. With that in mind, I don't like it when the escorts I'm with go overboard. That's not the type of fantasy I need because I know it's fake--and because I know it's fake--it hurts.

 

What I want is an escort who is nice and friendly--more of a f-ckbuddy experience. Hopefully the escort doesn't totally hate what he is doing and this is more of a real response.

Gc..I agree, but I have been with masseurs that our session turned into full on sex. I am, well better than avg build and looks and the chemistry was obviously there. When a massage turns into escort type services without the extra charge, then I am assuming that his attraction was mutual...that being said, I certainly embrace the notion that one has to be comfortable with who they are, and there are many in our community that are Chubby Chasers.

 

And to croks comment on hygiene, I agree, soooo many just don't get it..if you are going to be with someone on an intimate bases, the only decent thing to do is a little basic cleanup.

I would take exception with an above post that lists in order how someone might rank the adult professions. We all know there are guys who are working who do not show their faces online for privacy reasons. Guys who have been in porn have appeared in public (at least theoretically) and there is a loss of anonymity. The fact that a guy may have sex on camera doesn't mean that he is going to be willing to escort. These are different professions totally with their own parameters. They may intersect for some guys but that is not necessarily the case.

 

BVB, I have had this experience also - numerous times. But for me I always assume that that is just the masseur's MO and that he isn't necessarily "drawn" to me sexually. I'd like to think that he was, but I think that is one more case of self delusion that sometimes I engage in. Like you, I am probably above average in build (probably not so in the looks department) and I try and maintain some sort of presentable hygiene. Just don't know - chemistry - perhaps. It's been less frequent in the past year as I've gotten older. But I'm also hiring less frequently too - just kind of losing interest and would rather see what's available non-commercially.

I think Phil you might be short changing yourself..If your sessions turned into something far better than you had paid for ie: a nice sex session without the extra charge, then I think it is beyond someones MO, but rather a mutual attraction or chemistry. Take it for what it was and enjoy the memory. As to losing interest, well I am with you on that one. I am VERY SELECTIVE who I hire and because of that I am almost always assured of a nice experience. I rarely take chances anymore. The reviews and reputation have to be steller. As to my appearance, well f*ck that growing old gracefully stuff, I'm going into to it kicking and screaming. lol

I think the vector of the 'ladder' isn't well defined.

 

For me escorting and porn belong to two different categories and require different skills, as philmusc mentioned above.
