Just a little note on the buzz that has keep the theater boards buzzing for a week.

Last Sunday in the Gay Sports Page, (the NYT Arts and Leisure section), there was a big article about the incoming production of Porgy and Bess.

 

During the week, Stephen Sondheim wrote a really scathing letter to the editor taking the new director to task.

 

It's created a lot of chat among the purists and fixer-uppers alike.

I have to wonder if it's all a ploy to sell tickets.
