The vaccine mentioned at the end of the article is Gardasil. There is growing evidence of its efficacy against pre-cancerous HPV anal & throat lesions, even in those who have already been exposed to the virus. Only teenage girls can get it free in Canada, otherwise a round of injections is available on demand for about $500. A lot of gay doctors have had it and I think it's an excellent idea for any sexually active gay man who can afford it.
