Why don't more guys ever ask to hangout when they're visiting or a guy is visiting?

Just a random thought here...I see someone here who posts on the forum all the time and he's visiting my city.

 

But it's like very few people actually say, "hey let's take 2 or 3 hours off for the night and hangout".

 

I realize people generally have a set purpose for coming...be it financial or an event (aka pageant) but I don't see the harm in networking at all. Even if it's completely unrelated to escorting. It's not like I'm trying to steal your clients.

 

There was 1 time I contacted someone from the forum to say hi as we were visiting the same city at the same time. I had just wanted to find out more information about the city. Despite having chatted on the forum, when I called the person they pretty much hung up on me in a polite way.

Mocha -- It does happen some, that I know for certain. For example, we had a thread earlier from Ace about how he hung out with Dane Michaels when he was in Raleigh last weekend (and I have the picture to prove it, lol) and met up with Ryaan Morgan and Dave Rockin in DC later in the trip. Now the fact that he already had a relationship wth Dane and Ryaan from Palm Springs weekend may have had an influence. But he had never met Dave (although they had tried before). I do know of other occasions where escorts will meet up with other guys when touring as well.

 

I'd suggest just keep throwing out invites and somtimes it'll pay off.

Those escorts might be busy with clients; otherwise occupied; enjoying their downtime just being by themselves and meditating ("Me" Time); might be busy socializing with other service providers in that city; or might just have been "hit by a train" ...

I'm one of those who always tries to meet people I have gotten to know here, but I also have the feeling that you first have to "gotten to know each other" before someone else is interested in meeting with you.

 

Most often it's always nice to see the face behind a screen-name. From time to time it was also useful to see how your colleagues handle day-to-day issues. It's even big fun if someone else had the same solution for the same problem.

 

I have even done an apartment-swap with Kevin Slater. I spent a week in his place in New York, and he spent a week in my place in Amsterdam. We planned it so that I arrived in New York the day before he left. That way we could also say "hello" to each other (as we hand't met each other before).

 

It takes a bit of effort to find a day that you're both available, but where there's a will there's a way ...
