How do you as a client feel if the escort has a website that may make it easier to contact them, see travel dates, maybe even pictures that are not posted on the ad on men4rent or other advertisement websites. I am thinking of making one myself and using it so that all reviews are centralized, rates are available for viewing, and open dates. However i would like an insight on the thought, does an escort having a website make it easier on the client or harder. Also what does having an website portray to a potential client. Looking forward to your thoughts!

I think it is a great idea...however I am personally turned off by websites that tell me how special the subject is compared to the rest of the world. Additionally, I do not care what your spiritual beliefs are and why you only fly in private jet aircraft. Blogs tend to be a bit tedious as well, I am not interested in you complaints about clients, lack of business, shopping trips, automobile accidents, or difficulty with your boyfriend(s).

If a website is professional, to the point, and gives pertinent information on booking time with you, then it seems like a great tool.

An escort having a well-kept website shows a dedication to the profession that Rentboy-only advertisers do not have.

The website doesn't have to be all that much, even. Just the act of creating it and keeping it up to date shows a seriousness of purpose, but that's also the other side of the coin. It has to be kept current. It represents you every minute of every day.

An online calendar that's always six months (or more) outdated is worse -- much worse -- than having no online calendar at all.

Creating a website that has all the bells and whistles is easy, but keeping those bells ringing and whistles whistling can be a bit difficult. Sometimes just having a simple site that fully represents you 24/7 is enough.

I guess that's a yes.

I like it when an escort has a website that I can view with all his info in one place, so that I don't have to piece together different ad listings to get the complete picture of the guy I'm checking out. As the other guys have said, just keep it simple (don't load it up with intensive graphics, or even worse, music that autoplays.....so not cool), keep it updated, refresh the pics occasionally (and you don't have to post revealing nude shots either), and spare us from another blog. If the website is good, your writing is clear and grammatically proper (writing errors are especially galling to me...just a personal thing), then my opinion of you rises because I consider you more of a professional, who is serious about being a good provider to clients.

Good luck and well wishes to you!

What he said!:D

I totally agree! Just make sure to keep information current. One thing to consider - it will allow you to present yourself in more detail without the restrictions imposed by M4RN. (In earlier posts, you complained that potential clients assume you're a bottom. You can be more explicit about your preferences on a web page.)

However, until you develop a reputation, you're probably still going to need to keep ads on the high-traffic sites such as M4RN.

I have to agree with the others Zach. It doesn't have to be horribly flashy (and i'm certainly with JJT about autoplay). Accurate with up to date information, no grammatical or spelling errors. And I would also recommend that you have some professional pics too. A website which simply has pics you take yourself is, to me, a mismatch between the type of client you would attract with a website and the type of client who will settle for self-pics.

I have been hiring now for 9 months. In that time, I've hired 12 different escorts. Of the 12, 8 have their own websites. And I can go there directly without having them bookmarked - the addresses are easy to remember. So that would be the last advice: choose a simple address so that people can easily find you.

Good luck.

Well, have I finally achieved my long-time dream of becoming a trusted oracle in Hooville? Is it possible I have arrived? It's been a long journey, involving alot of painstaking research, developing a discerning eye for talent, time-consuming hands-on evaluations, and practice, practice, practice in the field to develop my skills. When do I pick up my honorary doctorate from Hooville U? ;)

I agree with what everyone said. All I would add is that you please close down the website when it is no longer accurate, and try to delete all links to it. There is nothing more frustrating than clicking expectantly on a link to "my website" from an ad or from the reviews here, only to be led to...nothing, or even worse, a site selling time shares in Hawaii. One frequently reviewed escort here has links to two different personal websites, neither of which has functioned for a couple of years.

Website is a great idea, just be sure to keep it updated and visual. And functioning. I used to have a website but I didn't have the time to devote to the analytics of it. Eventually I wasn't happy with the layout. However I did have a few clients mention it.

Eventually I just traded it in for a blog.

I can't help but feel some of that was aimed directly at me.

My blog isn't designed exclusively for clients. It's just an overall, call it journal of week to week activities. I've had an increasing amount of clients pick up on my blog out of nowhere and mention it.

Sometimes I have good things to talk about, other times it's not so good things. Reading over my blog thoroughly, I've done just that. I refer my blog to all clients who spend extended amounts of time with me...and I've never had any complaints. I have thought about re-directing some of the things I talk about...but putting it online has so much more power to it. And when it's over, I can simply delete it later at the click of a button rather than have it sitting on the forum for years.

I recently uploaded a video from the 4th of July show in Denver on my blog, you might enjoy it

LOL, that's funny. What gets me is when I type in a website and it says something like: http://menforrent.com/
