During a recent visit to Madrid, I had the opportunity to revisit Sauna Adan on four days. Several hot men were working each time. The facility needs updating and a good cleaning. It is important to be clear with the men regarding price and services PRIOR to engaging them. Three of four were honest and pleasant. One tried to claim he had quoted a higher price, but a simple refusal to be intimidated worked, and he backed off. I will return, but would appreciate more attention to the overall cleanliness of the place.

Don't hold your breath for any major cleaning to happen at Sauna Adan. The same complaint has been written time and again.

 

Actually, I am not certain the complaints are valid because the place is not as dirty as it appears in its dimly lighted atmosphere. The dull drab colors of the sauna, together with some shabbiness, gives the impression the sauna is not clean but it is cleaned often. Given that the sauna is small in size (together with the drab colors) adds to the impression the place might need a cleaning.

 

I agree with your advice concerning having an agreement with the "escort" before you go off together.

I agree on the funny screen name. As imrthr indicates the cleanliness issue has been mentioned allot. Also, I find the Romanian guys way too aggressive there. Having said that, I keep going back due to the wide selection of guys available.

 

Good job not accepting the pricing scam that the one guy tried on you. Your persistence paid off in that he backed away from his claim that he had quoted you a higher number.

I am planning a trip with some buddies to Madrid to ring in the New Year 2012. I have been to the saunas in Rio on several occasions, so I know how to play the game. My question is: What is the going rate at the saunas in Madrid? I have never been there. Can you guys help me out? Thanks!

Current rate is 40-50 Euros. Some lucky times someone will settle for 30.
