OK guys, I have looked for this topic but didn't see anything. So I'm going to throw it out there.

Rent Men has the "Who Saw Me" feature. So what do you guys think, about reaching out to possible clients by using that feature?

Do you think that would be crossing a line?

Looking foward to the feedback.....

I think this has been discussed before. In my opinion, this function is not necessary for escorts.

GayRomeo has this function disabled for escort/masseur profiles. We escorts, can't see who "saw us" and visited our GayRomeo profile.

Regarding Rentmen simply consulting the "Who saw me" listing isn't the issue. "Crossing the line" would be approaching clients who visited our profile. To avoid abuse, I think that function should be removed.

That's interesting that you think that, Steven. I have been contacted by escorts whose profiles I looked at, and I didn't mind it at all. In fact, I was pleased that they reached out. Now, the communication was very simple, like "Hi, Jack, I noticed you looked at my profile. I hope you liked what you saw. If you'd like to meet or if you have any questions, please feel free to call or email." He didn't tell me anything I didn't know, but it was a respectful, inviting email that made me like the escort more than silence would have. Unfortunately, I didn't really like what I saw so that's where the contact ended. Still, I don't think a short invitation would be offensive to clients. Of course, if clients don't want it known that they looked at a profile, they can always surf without logging in.

I personally like to make the initial contact with providers with whom I'm interested in meeting rather than having providers first contact me. If a provider contacted me just because I had visited their profile, I would feel obliged to respond to their message even if I was not interested in meeting them. I prefer providers who are not overly-assertive in solicitation of clients and allow the prospective client make the first move. But, that's just my humble opinion.

I've had a smattering of emails from escorts who must have noticed I'd looked at their ad. Seems sort of like a waste, especially since it seems like they're always the ones I've already ruled out. I see this as the equivalent of the sales clerk who won't leave you alone when you're "just browsing."

Interesting... I really like it when a guy reaches out to me - true or not, it makes me feel as though he cares enough to bother and that greatly increases the likelihood that I will take things to the next level.

Maybe I am "easy" after all!

I agree.. (not that you're easy, but that the escort cares enough to reach out) :)

I, too, have been contacted by escorts whose profiles I've visited while we are both on line. I would prefer THAT THEY NOT CONTACT me, for if I am interested--I'd rather write an email or ring them!

I'd already had an escort (who I like very much and have been seeing since 2002) to send me emails inviting a session. Two weeks ago I wrote to him and stated that I'd prefer to contact him vs his contacting me. (Those were not the words that I used; they were cordial!) I think he got the message and will wait for me to pursue another meeting. If he does not, I'll ignore his emails!!!

I wholeheartedly agree with this. Call me easy too but there's just an added level of charm and ease if a masseur or escort reaches out and acknowledges your interest. I understand some may not prefer that, but to me it shows good business sense and people skills.

I also love for the providers to reach out after I visit their page. They've probably checked out my profile and are fine with my stats as an older "daddy bear" type, even better if they comment on the fetish I've mentioned. It indicates to me that they are proactive and show some enthusiasm for their work. Quite a relief not having to play the usual "20 questions". I've had some very satisfying sessions from these inquiries.
