Or conversely have you, as the younger man, sought out an experienced, successful escort to teach you the trade?

When I first started my escorting career (I find it funny that it's become a career, as it was originally supposed to be a short term part time job, but THAT'S for another post!), I kept seeing/hearing the same names here in Las Vegas: Aaron Mark, Mario Roma & Tony Dancer...I reached out to all of them (in one way or another) & eventually worked with (and became friends with) all of them. I had LOTS of questions & appreciated being "shown the ropes" by these pros. I have since made it a habit to mentor MORE than a few guys here in town....Some guys are eager to learn & appreciate it, others do it "their way" with varying results.

I have a good relationship with most of the "working guys" here in Vegas & believe that networking is a MAJOR component to success in THIS or any business.

God, thank you for your comment, man! I really appreciate it. Somehow your comment is similar to the way I was going to respond to this thread; it has been on my mind ever since I first read it and I was going to write how even if I didn't have the chance to receive the direct advise from an experienced escort, when I started and discovered this site, I felt that the site itself and all the wonderful men in it were my mentors. I don't think I would have been able to get as much pleasure and fulfillment as I am getting from escorting had I not found this site. Yes, it is always a great learning experience to come here and witness our colleagues interact with our clients and with each other. There's no better way than that to learn what to do and what not to do.

 

As for directly sharing my experience with escorts that are starting, I have had the honour to do it first with Kevin Vancouver and now with Thor Maelstrom. I would not say mentor because these two are incredibly talented men who are both naturals at it, but the process of helping them understand the administrative minutiae of our profession is actually very fun. They both ended up teaching me and reminding me of why I love my work so much, so I believe it is always a two way street.

I've never had a long term mentor, but I have met escorts here and there (men and women) who have given me tips and advice and although sometimes it can come off as abrasive, I take it in and it's helped me become a better person. For example, I was hanging out with a woman escort last year and she said some things that 'rubbed me the wrong way'. But after a couple of weeks I seen where she was coming from and it actually put me to a totally different level and worked in my favor.

 

Since Andre went ahead and name-dropped, I guess I will do the same LOL. People who have given me some helpful 1 on 1 advice include Micheal Vincenzo (sorry if I spelled it wrong!), Mikey in NOLA (can come off abrasive at times but still has power in his 'word'), and Sean Knight (haven't seen him on here in awhile???). I've also got some tips from guys/ladies after 3 way sessions with clients as well which did it's part.

 

As for mentoring others...I've had the unfortunate experience of guys who were either needy or very immature come to me. Although I attempted to assist them and/or motivate them, they just weren't taking it seriously enough and were more interested in either fucking for free or doing drugs and eventually I had to tell them to fuck off.

 

At this point in time, I do not seek out personal advice any longer as I feel experience (and clients) are the best teachers there are. In addition everyone has their own way of operating and I cannot force myself to run things the same way so and so runs it because I'm going to want to do what I want to do it. And then some people's advice comes off not to help but to belittle and they are afraid of competition. So afraid that they are willing to say some ridiculous of the wall shit to make you feel like....shit. But there's always new stuff to learn. It's just a matter of taking it all in and figuring out what's doable and what's not.
