How profitable is to travel to a city during Pride?

Hey guys!

 

This is a question for all escorts who travel often. I tend to only travel when accompanying my clients and tend to avoid traveling on my own and posting an ad; personally I find it much better for me but I am curious about this: a client of mine is asking me to join him in an American city for Pride where I would meet him just for a few hours and then I would theoretically be on my own to work and see other clients.

 

While it occurs to me that perhaps people would be very horny and want to use the services of an escort when all Pride is exploding around them and everyone is naked horny and having fun I also think it is possible that sex could be highly available during Pride and very few people would hire.

 

I noticed before that there are many traveling escorts visiting Pride cities but that may just mean that they want to go to join the festivities, not necessarily to make money.

 

Any thoughts? What has been your experience?

I don't know when the next Pride Festival is but DC's is in early June. I think you may actually be on to something about too much going on for a profitable trip..but if you could land a weekend hire with some time on the front and back for your own, it may be worth it. But caution, it has been in the high 90'2 last three days with oppressive humidity. Not like the Pacific NW. For my own part, would love to see some new, first rate talent in the area if only for a visit.

Seriously Juan, I've heard that concern expressed but since this is my first year of being out and going to pride I really can't give you a definitive answer. I know I do have a hire for that day already -- the other Mr. Bruno, Nate. But I also have noticed that so far there does not seem to be a lot of touring guys in DC during pride. I don't know if that's by accident or design. But given the dearth of what I see as local talent in DC, there may be an opening. But it could go either way -- lots of horny guys all amped up and either willing to hire or lots of horny guys all amped up who will hookup with anyone at the drop of a hat. ANY hat. I too would love to know the experience of other escorts and/or clients.

From a pure business perspective, you're better off picking some other week. Erstwhile potential clients are distracted with all the other fun goings on, and other working guys are often in town for the festivities. Increased supply and diminished demand make for a less profitable trip, if that's your sole criterion for going.

I 1st came to where I live now for pride last June. I had no idea it was taking place but regardless I did okay. None of my clients were interested in going..

 

Of course it also depends what city you are at as well. I don't think most clients are partaking in pride events though.

These are hotels in Dupont Circle area, on or near the parade route. These same rooms 2 weeks ago were going for to $300/night pluls.

Good question, Juan. Imho, Kevin's points are valid. I've always had a condo-full of friends from out-of-state staying with me during LA Pride Weekend and I'm pre-occupied with hosting guests and partaking in the many festivities. While I hire escorts frequently, I can't recall ever hiring an escort during Pride weekend. However, because there are thousands of hot gay visitors in town on Pride weekend, it's one of the best opportunities all year for one to hook-up and get laid without paying for it!

It depends on what you kind of outcome you are looking for. I've never been to pride but, I've been to other places where I was very easily distracted with all the fun that was available. The outcome would always be tons of fun, little income (but, always enough to cover traveling expenses and a little extra), incredible memories, and never any regrets.
