I had a Spa in SF (Golden Spa on Duboce) keep sending me texts about various massuers, they eve offered a Passover Special once. They finally got the word, and it had to be strong, that I did not want anymore texts from them.

I agree with Mikey and others that it's annoying when an escort calls and puts you on the spot and wants to know when you plan to hire them again! A professional escort should never solicit or "hustle" the client. I'd prefer to be in the drivers seat and be the one to contact the escort if and when I want to see him again. I'm with snake28 on this one. I do get texts and emails from a half dozen escorts ocassionally just to check in to see how I'm doing. And when I say occasionally I mean from a few a week to a few a month. That is one reason I hire -- to make that personal connection with someone. they have, without fail, been interested in my life and my progress in coming out and dating and all sorts of other parts of my life. I know that when I get a text from an escort and he's not even on this continent he's probably not texting me to hire him then, and that has happened at least 3 times in the last couple of months. Without fail I get notification when they are going to be nearby -- since I hire no one locally (because I've never been deseperate enough to hire what's around here -- god help me if I ever get that bad).

 

But my guys also check in with me just to let me know how they're doinig too, which I appreciate almost even more. Because they've let me into their world a bit too. Not all the way, nor would I want or expect that. But I do feel like I've made connections with them. I don't think you can chalk it all up to Marketing 101. I don't feel any of that whatsoever. And that connectedness I think leads to greater intimacy during our time together which really makes it so very special to me.

 

But I'm with mikey on one aspect. They have never called. It's always text or email. But usually text.

My experience has been that the younger guys who need some quick cash are more likely to 'market' themselves via text messages to clients. Had to ask one guy to stop texting X rated shots.
