Should clients be rude based on someones role preference?

Thanks so much guys for the information. Your very right it is near impossible to wiggle that into the ad without sounding like that's all your advertising. As that's not. I can say when I get an ad response notification I do send a little about me which states I am a top. Do you feel that Is a suffecent way to inform of preference. I hate being the "boyish looking" guy, I am partially boyish looking because I am only 19. But I always get told "you look like a bottom". I had no idea that there was a certain way bottoms look. When there are plenty of masculine guys who preference is to bottom. I appreciate all the help y'all.

If they are looking at your rentmen ad it clearly states you are a top so there would be no reason for a potential client who is a top and wants anal as part of the scene to contact you. They should just skip to the next ad instead of contacting you. Not sure why men4rent won't allow position to be listed, would save both clients and escorts times if it isn't a comparable match, but there is no reason for a client to get nasty with you, they should just respond they are also a top (or do what some escorts do when they have no interest in a client and just not respond) instead of replying with a nasty response.

 

I see nothing wrong with a top not hiring an escort who is also a top or the same with a bottom client not hiring a bottom escort. A guy is spending a lot of money on an escort and if anal is important to him as part of a scene it would be a waste of money.

and FWIW I agree with a couple others that based on looking at your pics I would guess you as a bottom. But I love playing with guys with your looks that are tops so that wouldn't turn me off

1. Nowhere do you tell us that you're a top
   
2. I see a picture of your very nice little bottom.
   

Givem that us dirty old men are really good at making assumptions. Perhaps an bit more work on your RB profile is order?

 

You need to decide when you're going to communicate that 'Damn it, I'm a top' Perhaps replacing the butt picture with a picture of you wearing this (Cropping the t-shirt would work for me) would get the message out discreetly right up front?

Okay, that out of the way, I realize this thread has been around a while, but it sparked some thoughts about preconceptions and expectations. I don't think it would occur to me to think someone "looks like" a top or a bottom, but that may be my own naivete about things. I do agree that an ad with butt pics featured would tend to imply bottom or versatile to me, but if someone indicates top in his ad I accept that. I'm open to many physical types, so have been topped by a couple of pretty twinky guys who were good at what they do.

 

Are there widespread preconceived ideas about what a top or a bottom looks like?

The thing about Rentmen.com is that if you aren't logged in then you don't see whether they are a top, bottom or versatile. It does in the general listing of all the escorts but not in the individual ad. But if logged in it give his position as top.

 

Interesting enough, his ad says he hasn't logged in since Sept 29 2016. That is a long time to not log in but still have the ad up and active.

 

I do recall that there was a thread or threads about him trying to expand into bottoming but it didn't work that great for him. He has a number of reviews over a period of time where he was listed as versatile but then went back to top after that.

 

I hired him a couple of times (and I am pretty sure one of his reviews is from me). I am a top but I knew he was also. Nevertheless I had an amazing time with him. I miss him, both here on the forum and hiring

Love that this thread has reopened, as it is still a standing topic. I do like the idea of the Total Top shirt! I would have to have a tank top light blue with black letters, you know to match my eyes. I also noticed it says i havint logged into rentmen in a while however am still available for out calls. Latley i have been finding that i am almost getting ridiculed because i look like a bottom, however am a top. Some potential clients say very sorry i was looking for a bottom(nice way), some say well there are always other things(true), and i have had some that are completely rude saying that i am false advertising and that i look like a bottom therefore i should be, its even gotten as bad as being hung up on when i asked there interest in the bedroom and indicated im a top. As an escort when someone says they're a top i simply say that i am as well, however there are other things that can be done. Clients can be rude and frankly just make up bold face lies too...i have had that happen too and in no way should they be able to do that.

 

Clients are not gods, I am shocked how often things need to be explained like children to adults and if you do your part and there still rude then you should be polite and either not see that person or suck it up till the end of the session and not forget your occupation and understand you might be required to bite your tong from time to time if for no other reason than the majority of other potential clients wont understand your situation.

 

On a side note I have felt a fantasy was not able to be fulfilled and as a former escort i would tell a client i wont do anything in a fantasy realm because i knew id be letting them down do to the fantasy being well just that...maybe some guys can but i knew my limitations.

Unfortunately there are rude thoughtless clients. This is why I pride myself for making EVERY effort to be kind, considerate, and appreciative before, during, and after an appointment. And I hope and sometimes naively expect escorts to treat me likewise.
