I was very excited when a well known and well reviewed escort was coming from Texas to work for about a week through an agency in Philadelphia. I have used the agency quite often but emailed the escort directly and set everything up with him directly.

We had emailed back and forth and everything seemed fine.

On the day of the appointment he emails me and tells me he has an emergency and is emailing me from the airport and has fo cancel our appointment. I was very sympathetic and told him when he was back East to let me know and we can set something up.

The day after his cancelation I had a funny feeling in my stomach and called the agency to see if he was available...and lo and behold he was...and they also went on to tell me he has never had to leave to go back home.

Hmmm...I know I was blown off probably for a longer appointment...I emailed him and called him on his lie and of course no response as of yet.

I know that I cannot post a "no show" on this site so what is my recourse. He has impecdcable reviews and yet here I am unsatisfied and basically angry that he blew me off...and I have no way of telling anyone so it would happenb others.

Any suggestions?

Truth and respect

I dunno..the evidence is still a bit circumstantial. They might have had something that they were going to go home for and then it got changed at the last minute but that's just how I am...believing the best in everybody I see.

Personally I hope that (if I were in this situation) the people involved would have the respect to call me and tell me what happened (no matter what it is). I try to accord people I see with a high degree of respect and truth so I tend to expect that it will be returned.

Gcursor...just a little more information so that you will not see there is anything vague or circumstantial....we had an appointment for Sunday night at 7pm...he emailed me that he had to fly back from Philly to Texas at Noon on Sunday.....by 1pm on Monday he was available again in Philly??? Faster than a speeding bullet back and forth from Philly to Texas.

And yes indeed I have moved on....I took his $220 and went to a casino nearby my hotel and turned it into $600 and then ran like hell out of the casino...so all is well that ends well...but I am still pissed at being lied to by someone who has been coverboy over and over and has nothing but glowing reviews...

Well, you've given enough information here that many (most?) of us can figure out who you're referring to - or incorrectly assume that we've figured it out, at least. (Not sure why you posted in this section for escorts to respond to, though?)

What arrangement did he have with the agency? Were independent bookings allowed?

Regardless, you are owed an explanation, at a minimum..

Owed an explanation and a whole lot more in my mind, if the appt was booked through the agency. It certainly would make me less likely to use the agency in the future if they don't offer some sort of make-good.

Sure, sometimes things come up and we all understand that (at least I hope we would). But the timing does seem suspicious -- highly suspicious.

But as far as getting an explanation from the escort, it's been my experience that you might as well try to fly to the moon before you get an explanation from the escort when something negative occurs. Pigs may fly first. Hell, I've been waiting for weeks for a response from another well reviewed and regarded escort for some questions I've asked about an encounter. And it will no doubt stretch to decades before I hear back.

The OP says I have used the agency quite often but emailed the escort directly and set everything up with him directly. . So, was the agency even aware of the appointment? Or was there a booking conflict? Only the escort knows, and I would expect some attempt at damage control - especially by someone with a good reputation.

I agree with Instuidocity in this regard. This guy just SAVED you money by bailing out on the appointment. It's a cancellation, not a no-show. Cancellations happen in this business on both sides of the transaction. The escort's reason may or may not be true, same happens when a client cancels on an escort.

My advice is not to obsess over the issue and just forget about this particular escort. Move on to someone else and you'll likely have an even better experience than the escort in question.

Shoreboy, I think you have been given an "excuse". Sometimes the truth is hard to swallow.

Telling your story is part of the therapy. As someone mentioned above the best way to handle this would be privately, directly with the escort in question.

I agree Shoreboy deserves an honest explanation from the provider. Hopefully, there's just been some simple miscommunication that could easily explain the matter.

After checking out the Premiere Escorts website, I'm just curious why the provider changes his name when escorting in Philly...Perhaps the escort agency requires guys to do that?

Just as I thought. Even though your date was set beforehand, the escort was officially working for premier, when your date was to have occurred. I am betting that premier had a client lined up for him at the same time, and that his time wih you had to be cancelled, and that it was up to him to do it.

He should have told you this up front, however. That's where he screwed up. Not being honest.

When I lived in the northeast, I used premier on several occasions, and never had a problem. If they were closer, I would still use them.

I would assume that even though they are called "guests" there are some real contractual obligations on the part of premier and the escort.

I wonder what you were hoping for when you made this call. You already knew the booking was off. He gave you notice, albeit short, and a polite, albeit untrue, excuse.

It sucks that he dropped your planned meeting, but would you feel better hearing that his mother indeed did pass away or that he actually bumped you for a different client or because a hard night of partying?

You made plans, he flaked, you investigated and got your feelings hurt. Perhaps it would be better to just let the original excuse suffice and move on.

Okay guys...time to close this chapter once and for all.

This escort did email me back and apologized. Truth be told he had told Premier to leave Sunday night open since he had made plans and they slipped up and scheduled someone else...so since he was working with Premier he did have to cancel me.

The problem arose is that instead of being honest and telling me what happened he chose to make up a story about the cancelation....and he giot caught.

He did offer me a $50 discount the next time he is in Philly, but I doubt I will take him up on his offer.

As for what Kevin Slater had to say....what I was looking for was not a confirmation that something terrible happened but rather the truth....the truth we can all handle since we are all big boys....so when I clicked on the Premier site and found he was still in the area and had not gone back to Texas, I wanted to find out the truth...and did.

Was I hurt....no I have to say I was more angry than anything else and especially angry since had he been honest from the beginning I probably could have revamped my schedule and still met with him while he was here.

Am I still hurt or angry now....oh dear God no....life is too short and there are a lotg of other things to be concerned about....but since so many posts on this site are by escorts who complain about "no show" clients or last minute cancelations bv clients, I just thought it was time to hear the other side of the coin by a client.

All in all case closed and we move on in life finding joy rather than something to bitch about...to me tha major lesson learned for both escorts and clients is be honest.

Shoreboy, let's make explicit a few things that are only implied in your narrative. A well-known escort announced on this site that he would be visiting Philadelphia, and requested that anyone contact Premier to make arrangements to hire him. Although you were familiar with Premier, having used their services several times, you decided to contact the escort directly, in hopes of getting a cheaper deal by cutting Premier out of the picture, and it worked: $220 was certainly less than you would have paid for an appointment through Premier. However, several hours before the appointment, the escort called you to cancel. You claim that you believed his excuse, but obviously you did not, because nothing happened to cast doubt on it, yet you called Premier the next day and pretended to be interested in hiring the escort, solely to find out whether the excuse was true; it wasn't. Then you came here.

What you have described happens innumerable times every day in minor business transactions, when both parties cut some ethical corners to make a deal--it's called human nature. In this case, nothing was hurt except your ego, because you thought you had pulled a sharp one, and then the deal fell through. No one made more or less money than he should have (well, you claim you actually made money by gambling with the unspent escort fee). If you wanted to know the real reason why the escort backed out of the deal, you could have asked him. Your objective in starting this thread seems to have been to damage the escort's reputation, but in the process you haven't exactly burnished your own, especially with Premier, who probably now are aware of the whole story. You're right: it's time to move on.

Honesty is the best policy in most situations but i'm not sure how being honest here would have alleviated the crushing feeling that one might feel if a date canceled for a better offer. I had this happen to me once when the escort actually told me that he had to cancel as he had a longer appointment (i found it awfully blunt but truthful).

Naturally, i made a note never to call him again. No matter how much we call them out on it, i don't think we can change anyone's behavior. Just accept things as they are and move on.

I KNOW we can't change anyone else's behavior. Hell, I don't want what I would get even if I was able because I would lose the personality, the individual spirit and the spontaneity that makes the unique individual. Everyone has the right, even the duty, to go, do and be what they want to go, do and be - that's what FREEDOM is all about. The purpose of the board and the purpose of the reviews is to confirm that the walk matches the talk - nothing more, IMHO.

Shoreboy's first mistake was to attempt to circumvent established procedure - making the appt with Premier. The consequences of his action resulted in the cancelled appointment as much as the unnamed escort's confirming this 'back-pocket' appointment.

Ratting out the escort for cancelling, then getting his panties enough in a wad to follow-up with Premier and then the posting a thread here seems to be nothing more than sour grapes on Shoreboy's part. Charlie's post is correct.

As ISC said, Charlie you hit the proverbial nail on the proverbial head.

But I'd still like an answer to Toulouse's question: Why the name change? I wondered that the moment I saw the Premier ad.

The escort in question could have just as easily told Premiere that he had plans that evening and was not accepting any bookings. I think if you've made a promise or an appointment, it should be kept unless you really have a good explanation for backing out.

I think if you've made a promise or an appointment, it should be kept unless you really have a good explanation for backing out.

And I think if you're going to make a judgement you should do it fully aware of both (or in this case all three) sides of an argument.

I can easily see someone contacting an escort asking about a date, the escort referring the client to the agency and assuming the date had been set via the agency, and then being stuck in a tough spot later. Does he tell the client "YOU FUCKED UP!" or something a little more face-saving?

Two sides of the story are missing here.
