This is interesting...most of my correspondence (i feel lucky) has managed to get answered although there are a few times when escorts can't respond for whatever reason. Most of the times these escorts are very well-reviewed and it's usually not because I write overly lengthy emails.

So what's the rule for responding to customers? I know that escorts are extraordinarily busy and just can't keep up with all their email/phone calls which is probably a full-time job for some of them. So what can be done on the client's side to make things easier from the escort's point of view? I actually prefer email over the phone because I don't like to talk on the phone as much but that's just me.

just curious,

Sometimes we have to think and move out of the box. It may be ,"just you," in that you don't like to call but I can tell you that in general when a client CALLS me then 95 times out of 100 he will book the appointment. On emails it is about 50%. texting is about 25%. so perhaps your question is herein answered. Go ahead and call because that tells us you are real, nothing to hide and motivated. I am not saying that emailing is wrong just that on a busy day I will answer my phone but I may not return an email for 3 days especially if I am traveling. http://www.rentboy.com/mikey9nola1

I use to get allot of emails asking one question at a time 5 emails in and no appointment. 90% OF the questions id get also were answered in my ads or on my website. I ended up setting my email up with a auto response with a link to my home page for massage leaving them no choice but too call. I found the majority of those who call by phone are more serious, those who emailed thought they could slip by and get a booking without calling to finalize. they thought wrong. I never took a massage client until we finalized the session by phone from a number that's unblocked.

One of the major problems that I have found with emails is that many times the email the prospective client sends will get lost in my "SPAM"/"JUNK" folder and it will be a week or so before I check and find it in there. On some occasions, I have also had clients email and and appologize because my initial email to them was sent to their SPAM folder.

Just a thought

Through my experiences the new clients who are really serious about booking will call on the phone. If I don't answer their call and they leave a message, I always return the call as quickly as possible. I understand that some people don't like talking on the phone, however it's more efficient and should only take 5 min or less of your time. The problem with emails is that, though you may be very serious about booking, others may not and the emails just become endless and time consuming to answer. At some point I just became less motivated in answering emails quickly.

As a client reading what escorts have to say regarding this topic is fascinating. Actually I am a somewhat taken aback. I never make my initial contact with an escort by telephone. I always use email. My emails are always succinct, specific and direct. I also never contact an escort unless I am serious about getting together with him. Only after we have determined that we are compatible and have established a time and place for our meeting do I speak with the escort on the telephone. If an escort’s profile indicates that he will only accept telephone contact I move on immediately and lose all interest in contacting him.

Email has been diminishing as an initial contact medium for some time. According to this article from Engadget:

http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/15/world-sends-107-trillion-emails-in-2010-most-of-them-about-enla/

Web monitoring site Pingdom reports that last year we all sent 107 trillion emails to our loved and unloved ones, which breaks down to 294 billion per day, though only 10.9 percent of those weren't spam.

Your email is swimming against the current.

About 90% of my initial inquiries are by email now, the rest by phone. Texts as a method of first contact get ignored. Local repeat clients often switch to phone or text, but out of town repeats will tend to stick to email. I still require a contact phone number to confirm all bookings. 90% of my emails receive same day answers, the rest are next day, spam is checked daily - those are my professional standards. Email as the preferred method of first contact is a North American phenomenon partly deriving from the fact that the largest escort sites here facilitate it. In the UK, about 60% made first contact by phone, the rest by Gaydar IM. Gaydar and other European sites don't facilitate email.

I think Mikey is right on. As a client, I've had much more success contacting escorts when I reach out to them with a phone call as well as an email. It seems like escorts are more confident that I'm a legitimate prospective client when they see I'm willing to share my phone number with them. I have about a 50 percent response rate in hearing back from escorts if I only send an email inquiry and do not also call them.

what can be done on the client's side to make things easier from the escort's point of view?

when someone emails me who i’ve not seen before, i write back, thanking them for their interest, and request that they call me to set up an appointment. i always require a phone conversation - even a brief one - for new clients.

once you’ve seen me, you can email me and we can arrange our future appointments that way. i realize that phone conversations can sometimes be challenging for some clients (although email can be tough for others!)

texting is absolutely not an option for me. simple fact is, i have one phone for my life. i have two numbers that ring to it, one is my personal life and the other is my escort number. the latter forwards to my phone, and verizon does not have the capability to forward text messages, only voice calls.

about a week ago i had someone call to set up an 8 hour session with me for a few weeks out. i had not yet met him. his call went to voicemail- it was about 11am and i was in an appointment when he rang. an hour later i’m checking my messages, and at that exact moment, he called again. he explained that he wanted an 8 hour appointment, he would’ve been flying in to dc from his home state, but since he didnt hear back from me, he figured i wasn't interested (remember, it was one hour later). so he went ahead and booked another well known escort on this site, who is in an entirely different city.

now, i understand the call for a spontaneous appointment, whereby if i don't get back to the caller within even 15 minutes, they’ve moved on. but this was for an 8 hour appointment, several weeks out. the us-american acceptable business model seems to range from calls returned in the same day to calls returned 24 hours later. i try very hard to bring a level of professionalism to the escorting industry, but a return call within the hour is expecting too much.

would i have liked the new business, and the 8 hour appointment? of course.

i felt hurt and irritated, at the same time.

If you sent an email and got no reply, try a quick phone call. Yahoo and hotmail don't always "play well" w/ Gmail. Or your company's email account might be identified as spam .

There's always TEXTING but PLEASE mention that you're a new client. -if you know the guy, ask him to put you into his phone.

On the reverse side, I always keep numbers of good & the rare bad client in my phone. It makes it easier for everyone. ;)

You could also feel grateful that the ADHD* client prospect found someone else. If he's that impatient, you might never have satisfied him.

Plus 8 hours with an ADHD client could have landed you on the front pages for MURDER! LOL!

Never worry about 'what could have been, only worry about what is.'
