Im a bearish cub (25yo) in NYC and want to start off being an escort, as a side thing for extra pocket money (so to speak). I dont really want it to be a big thing, but like a couple of clients per week.

I wanted to know how/where should i start off. Im quite unsure about CL postings and the dubious responses I get from people.

I'll be grateful

Being a bearish cub I think you will be in a niche market so market yourself as that a bearish cub. 2 I would avoid the craiglist every person iv known that's been arrested its happen by the way of that site. since the adult sections been removed not really sure what success you would have there if any. id suggest a 1 month ad in menforrent now just to see how it goes

In New York City the best place to start is probably rentboy. Read the ads other escorts have posted and see what the going rate is. Evaluate yourself critically looking at the photographs other escorts have posted. If and when you decide to take the plunge I would strongly recommend that you find a good professional erotic photographer and have him take some photographs of you. Whether or not you post face shots is a decision you will have to make. The more professional you ad appears the better -- good grammar -- good short descriptions -- good photographs. State your in and out hourly rates and DO NOT put Ask, it is a major turn off.

I agree with the posts above, but would suggest you may need to run your ad a couple of months before you get a good following. I think people tend to browse listings and come back to them, sometimes a long time after they may have first seen your ad. Don't be concerned if it takes a while to get to having a couple of clients per week... but who knows, as a bearish cub you are indeed in a niche market so your experience might be different.

Sounds like Rentboy is the preferred listing site in NYC, but men4rentnow in other cities (like SF).
