When I was reading a thread the author said you got plan vanilla, but I couldn't tell what he meant. It was in reference to young guys being paid in a bath house. Does it mean he got a hand job, blow job, or was either fucked or got fucked.

I am new and dont know the lingo.

Txbearly, vanilla doesn't necessarily mean any particular kind of activity (as you ask, handjob, blowjob, etc.). It's actually a term that usually means the absence of anything kinky or far beyond what might be considered to be mainstream/non-adventurous sexual practices. It's also used in a non-sexual way to describe things that are boring or just plain old not exciting. Sometimes for lingo you can check out sites like urbandictionary.com. They're not always super accurate, but you can often get the gist of things from those kinds of site Good luck and welcome.

Hey man.

Strafe is right: plain vanilla means absolutely nothing specific, but conveys the idea of something simple, basic, bland and safe, which for some people is all that is needed and for some is simply just too boring. It really depends who says it and in which context.

My personal suggestion is that if you want to communicate effectively in a forum like this one, or when communicating with your escort or lover, it is important to stay away from any euphemism and speak as directly and openly as possible. Only that way you can be sure that you are saying what you mean, and even then there is room for miscommunication.

When someone says "This escort offers only vanilla" this could mean things as different as that he barely gives closed mouth pecks and cuddles and gives hand jobs, or that he french kisses, sucks, gets sucked and is anally versatile but doesn't engage in any kinky activity. (Again, here it is not clear what "kinky" may refer to, so that is not clear enough.)

When it is someone else who uses euphemisms, whether in an ad or a post, it would be advisable to ask for clarification.

Welcome to the board, and I hope that you will have a great experience here.

Googled 'gay slang dictionary'. Overall response I got was:

n: White, caucasian.

adj: Conventional, unexciting, boring, non-S/M, non kinky,

non-penetrative

What strikes me most about the definitions is 'non-penetrative'.

But from Juan's response (...could mean...anally versatile...) it appears that may non be the case.

So confusing for us newbie's.

Juan nailed it.

"Vanilla" generally means "non-kinky" but considering that a whopping large percentage of the population considers ANY form of gay sex to be kinky, it's a definition that's lacking.

Someone who routinely practices extreme bondage will have a wildly different definition of kinky than someone who gets off on heavy petting. There just isn't any precise definition on either end of the scale. Like most of human sexuality, it will vary from individual to individual.
