An epidemic of last-minute cancellations! What to do?

That's really interesting, I never really thought about what city to work in. I just already lived in New York, so that's where I started out. I do, however, find that there are so many people living here, and passing through, that the market can handle the high amount of competition.

 

It is kind of fun to go to a random small town and be the only guy there for a while, though. Last summer I was the only guy in Ogunquit, Maine and business was fantastic!

It is true that a GOOD escort can be successful anywhere- with a little patience to build up the market and to establish a regular client base. Sometimes if it does not happen in a month the escort abandons ship and moves away. Some markets are just easier though.

 

But the question is, how long is that escort WILLING to wait to build up a market? 1 month is too long to not get any work. I don't believe that a successful escort can do well anyoldwhere. The meaning of successful varies from person to person. A guy charging $250 an hour in New York would not be able to do that and get consistent (key word, consistent) results in some of the smaller markets in the midwest and south. In fact, the median rate of $200 is bound to meet with resistance in some places. Right off the bat I can name a few places where you will not be able to charge $200 for a consistant period of time unless you're comfortable with being haggled. Because they all think its too much.

 

I hear it all the time about escorts going to places and not doing well. Even deeper, why do you think some resturaunts and fitness clubs are you some markets and not in others? For example, I used to work for Bally Total Fitness. They closed down several markets in smaller cities. Kansas City, St. Louis and Indianapolis only have 1 location for the whole city.

 

In San Antonio, 24 hour fitness and LA fitness do not even exist...because they know they would sink. The market for fitness in San Antonio is less than Dallas, Houston and Austin. But the cheaper Bally Total Fitness has 4 locations in San Antonio.

Well I think the flake bug made its way down to Florida because I have been getting an appalling number of cancellations and no-shows. Its literally driving me up the wall.

 

Sometimes it almost makes me wonder: what have previous escorts done to the clients here to make them behave in such an uncompromising way? Are people charging $20 for full service and anything more is out the water? I contribute the blame to escorts in the industry in some places, they cause markets to become sickening cheap, they provide shit service, offer nothing original...no multi-hours, no offers to travel...all they want is the next quick buck to get their next high. Thats what happened to San Antonio and someone told me how it happened. He started charging $140, others came in charging $120, next thing he knew $60 and $80 was becoming the norm. I believe thats why the market here in Tampa is pretty much a wasteland. I'm talking specifically Tampa and Orlando.

 

I can back that up because there are places that are rarely touched. There's not so many low paying jobs, discrimination, and ghetto/trailer trash trying to get a bit of quick change like I'm sure exists in Tampa. I'm sure some people are happy to get the first offer they can get, so what incentive does a client have to pay $200 EVEN WHEN there's CLEAR PROOF that the person is of a different quality? There's non, because you have people with similar attributes willing to do it for pennies on the dollar. So therefore, even unknown cities unlike the Tampon are happy to pay $180+. The clients aren't bitching about rates because there's less trash trying to advertise and therefore better experiences and more money left.

 

I need to take a break from the forum, I'm going to end up saying somethings I'll regret. I'm off to the gym spa to soak in the steamroom and get some R&R
