But there’s, to me at least, an interesting difference. Where Michael and Kevin and Jake have a routine that’s assured of ending in a great massage and splendid happy ending, Eric is much more free form. I was never sure what would come next and that expectation added to the pleasure. It’s rather like the difference between a formal Ashton ballet and some modern dance you might enjoy at the Joyce or smaller venues.
