If an escort has to travel (I'm talking here about driving, not flying) more than, say, an hour each way, to get to a client, should the client expect to pay the standard hourly rate for travel time?

It really depends on what you agree upon. For example, I have my regular rate and then a set rate for travel depending on the amount of time it will take to drive. The travel rate is always lower than the regular rate.

While the client may not be expected to pay the standard hourly rate for driving time, I think it's certainly reasonable for the escort to increase his rate some to help compensate his extra travel time (roundtrip) and extra fuel expenses.

Last time I drove that route a few months ago it took me about 3 hours, but that with with a couple short potty breaks. Its about 160 miles roughly. You can use mapquest or google maps for specific details if interested.
