Why is it so hard to get an escort to respond?

I am not sure if this has been covered before, but I seem to have an onoing problem and simply put, it is getting an escort to respond to my initial inquiry.

 

I use Men4RentNow and I find that when I know I will be in a certain city on business I like to set up my fun appointments usually a week to ten days in advance.

 

I email the escort and ask nothing outlandish. I am clear and concise in what I email them. And then I wait and wait and ususually get nothing in return.

 

It has come to the point that instead of waiting for my original choice to respond I am simultaneously sending out three or four emails to different escorts.

 

Now I know some will say that they rarely check their emails from Men4RentNow...but isn't that why they advertise and isn't it business for them?

 

I will be in DC next week and thus far have contacted 11 different escorts, even going as far as to check out the ones in Baltimore who travel to DC...I started my search on Monday. Here it is Friday and not ONE has yet to respond.

 

Any thoughts?

Not an expert on how M4RN works but it is my understanding that an escort's ad may still be up but that they don't get your specific email because they haven't kept up their payments for ads. If they do not list a phone number as a contact then I believe that they don't get your specific inquiry (however I think they get a notice that a client is trying to contact them, which is to induce them to renew their ad subscription payments to get an inquiry). Perhaps escorts that use M4RN (or have used them in the past) could correct me if I am wrong or add more info. Now if they have a phone number listed and not getting back to you, after a reasonable time, then it is just them being a poor professional (and probably not worth the effort, but you could call them if the number is listed).

I have always found that http://www.men4rentnow.com and http://www.rentboy.com serve two useful functions. They: 1.) provide excellent eye candy and, 2.) act as excellent "STARTING" points for selecting an escort I might be interested in hiring. If I find an escort who grabs my attention on EITHER site I cross reference him in the Review Section on this site. As a general rule I ONLY contact and hire escorts who are well reviewed HERE. I have ALWAYS found that escorts with several excellent reviews posted are serious about escorting and function in a professional manner (this includes answering emails in a timely manner).

I have to let you know that M4R has escort listings that are expired... (the escort is no longer in business/ no longer advertise but you can still retrieve their ads). How does this work in the reality?

If I get 3 more emails via M4R, it will say: You have 4 clients now, waiting for your reply... PAY NOW and you can retrieve those emails via the M4R website. I would say 50% of the times that is the reason why escorts do not respond via M4R. The other 50% is simply LAZY!!!! Sad, but true!

I have to agree with jgoo and epigonos. M4RN shows an enormous number of escorts in DC (171) whereas Rentboy has 64, and Rentmen has only 24. So I think a lot of it is just ads that are left up. You don't say exactly what you are looking for. I think it is the general bellief among some that DC seems to lack a large quantity of high quality escorts. However, two do jump to mind immediately. Dave (Rockjn) and Rgymjockva. I have not had the pleasure of being entertained by either gentleman yet, but they are certainly on my to be done by list. There may well (and probably are) others but those are the two with good reviews that jump to mind immediately.

 

And next week I am also aware that there are several big name escorts who will be in DC either Wednesday through Saturday or Thursday through Sunday. So check the Escort Travel thread here and check Rentmen and Rentboy to find out. If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me.

I think searching the reviews here and Rentboy are a good starting point because I think these escorts tend to be more active. I would say if you arent getting an inital response to your email and you think this is escort you want to see, try calling them or texting them. I am quickly finding out here that escorts vary in their communications.... some prefer email and other prefer instant messanger and others like text. If one method doesnt work, you might have to try another.

I agree. A couple of working-guys have told me they don't consider it to be a serious inquiry unless a prospective client's phone number is included in his email request. So I always include my number and almost always get a response, granted some are much quicker to reply than others.

Thanks Peter! I really try to check out the reviews here and at MER. I've been hiring for a long time and my instincts have become fairly polished about picking winners. You and some of the other escorts who post here exhibit many of the best qualities I seek when I'm selecting a guy for hire.

 

I look for positive expressions of enthusiasm and interest, having a "people pleaser" temperament, looking at the business from a "personal entertainer" angle, and showing signs of enjoying what they do. Also having an interest in life and the world at large, and the ability to converse on a diverse range of topics is an awesome plus.

 

I try to find full spectrum guys who can go from BFE to playful to rough all in the same session, and who can be creative and help me enjoy my rather unusual fetish, which after all is why I started hiring in the first place.

 

I also put my phone number in the replies, I wish I were less nervous about cold calling escorts from their number in the ad, but texting first and getting a positive reply helps a great deal. Peter is right! There is never a valid excuse for a professional not to return an email or text or phone call, but lets face it... Not everyone is as professional as others. I can understand there being a delay in responding if the escort happens to be engaged for a weekend or several days. Keep in mind too that if the ad is old, the contact maybe out of date.

I think some escorts realize that people are scared to give out too much information. I mean some would assume that if they send an email that it will be answered but on the other hand, the client has to realize that email may not answered as quickly as a phone call. But I have noticed that alot of escorts have become high tech and have blackberrys/iphones so they email is sent directly to their phone.

Great question and awesome post. AS an escort I can tell you that I answer EVERY email within 24 hours without fail or exception. The ones who include a phone number go to the top of my list. However, I know it is old-fashioned, but I still love to be CALLED. The clients who are truly motivated usually call. Here is the other side though: my clients tell me exactly what you are saying- that even if they call and leave a voicemail they usually do not hear back from the escort. In my opinion (as an old-schooler) that is rude on the escorts' part not to at least try and respond. Perhaps they are so booked and in demand that they only work if they want to or will only c u if u r hot. I don't work that way. I treat my clients like human beings with respect. Respect says to call someone back............one other thought though: In the escorts' defense- what about the clients who email us and we respond immediately and then they never answer or respond a week later. In my opinion, if I am a professional escort and get an email I always respond and it is not my duty to determine or be prejudgmental whether that person is going to be serious or a flake. I respond promptly and professionally (therefore the client feels that that's the way he is going to be treated later on in person!). So what happens if he does not respond?! NOTHING! Why would I get frustrated by that? (BTW if I do, I would have a nervous breakdown by the time I reach 30!). If he changed his mind, he did... there is not much you can do about it and I do not want to force somebody to see me who does not want to see me or having second thoughts about it. I am not going to harrass him by sending him extra emails or calling/texting him... If a client does not respond the escort should never have any "attitude" about that. Hiring somebody is almost like an "unwritten/verbal contract" and it only starts when you walk inside of his room. Until that is just a proposal!

 

But I agree with everything else that you mentioned!
