He did it again.

 

Some of you might remember last summer when I posted about two guys that stood me up... LA Guy and Porn Guy. Well, LA Guy maintains to this day that there was no ticket in spite of my credit card bill to prove otherwise... and as for Porn Guy, nobody, not even the travel agent can figure out how his ticket ended up being cancelled two days after I bought it. A mystery.

 

So, I didn't hold that against him and I was still very interested in meeting him. He seemed sincerely sorry for the problem and really seemed to want to make the trip. He even offered to send me a deposit for the ticket to prove his good intentions. He even offered to come a day early or stay a couple of days longer to avoid flying on premium days to try and save me money. How nice is that? I, of course, refused both offers. But he insisted that he wanted to stay longer so that he could see the sights in OKC... not that there are any.

 

All set, right?

 

He emails me a week before, unsolicited, on his own, no prompting from me, to tell me that he is "locked and loaded" for the trip. A couple of days before, I email all of my expected guests and touch base. He responds immediately... he is "locked and loaded and can't wait... all good."

 

All good, right?

 

On the day of arrival, I get a voice mail from AJ Irons, one of my expected guests. He has missed his flight, but assures me that he will be here at 6:15.( Turns out, this gorgeous kid didn't sit on his gorgeous ass and wait for another United flight... nope, he booked a new flight at his expense just to keep the appt. Impressive. And rare, in my experience.) On the way to the city, I also get several texts from David telling me that he and Michael Vincenzo are on their way...

 

When I get to the hotel, AJ calls me and lets me know that he will definitely be in OKC at 6:15 and asks about the hotel etc... he also tells me that he has received a message from Porn Guy and that he has been detained at the airport because of prescription drugs not in the original bottle and that he has missed his flight and he wants to know what he should tell me.

 

I get his cell number from AJ and call him. No answer and his mailbox is full. I text him and tell him to call me.

 

On the way to the airport to pick up David and MV, he texts me to tell me essentially the same thing that he told AJ.

Drugs, detention, sorry.. and that he stopped by the United counter on his way out, and they assured him that the ticket was still good, and could be rebooked without a penalty anytime for the next year or I could get a cash refund... good to know.

 

Have a good time with the men that do arrive.....

But this past Sunday, I saw David at his very best, his finest hour yet for me... with two guys that he was really into fucking, and how he talked them through it.... like Justice and Kristian .... I have met a lot of men and after all this time and money, it still just doesn't get any better than David.

 

On Monday, after I drop the boys off at the airport, I get 3 texts from Porn Guy. Lucky that he didn't get arrested, sorry, feels like shit, sorry. Me, too.

 

On Wednesday, I call my travel agent and tell her his story. She laughs at me. She puts me on hold and asks the other agents. Apparently, they laugh at me, too. She calls American and they laugh as well and tell her that the ticket is still good but it was cancelled by Porn Guy on the day of the flight and that they have no record of detention and that there would be a penalty and no cash refund....(which I knew all along... not my first time at the rodeo, boys...)

 

So, I email Porn Guy and tell him this and that there is a $585 credit in his name, good for a year.... and please don't waste it.

Not pissed. Truly believe that there is some reason that it wasn't supposed to happen with this guy either time. Just sharing an experience here. Not bitching or lamenting. So, please, no private emails about how if I only booked you, I wouldn't have these travel issues.

 

Once again, for me, David saved the day and raised a bar that was already pretty fucking high.

The easiest answer for the original ticket getting canceled mysteriously is that the escort called and said he wanted to cancel the flight and get a refund (for a ticket you paid for). He was told it was canceled but nonrefundable. Just a guess.

The excuse about the prescription drugs being in the wrong bottle is totally bogus. I've traveled all over the world with several prescrition drugs mixed in the same bottle to save space andI have never once even been questioned about them. But then again, I don't look like a porn star or celebrity. How does an ATA guy know what shape and color every pill is supposed to be? I can see why your travel agent and airline people were laughing.

An update

 

About a week ago, Porn Guy emails me. Out of the blue. I had let this one go. Thinking about Marco for my birthday or maybe AJ Irons and Kristian..... Told him to use the ticket and no hard feelings. But he says that he wants to make it right with me. Either use the ticket to come out here or pay me for the ticket.... a check or PayPal. I email back and say, you want to make it right, then, tell me the truth about what really happened at the airport and why you really canceled...

 

I asked this, because the ticket is still good and in order for that to be so, it had to be cancelled before the flight and the airline maintains that he is the one that canceled it, and he originally said that he was being detained until after the flight took off... so, did he just excuse himself at some point from the agents and go cancel his ticket?

 

He emails back yesterday and insists that he has already told me the truth. And that he still wants to make it right.

 

So, I guess, what I have to decide is ... whether to let him rebook the ticket at his expense or let him pay me back for the ticket.... which was $687 the first time and like $58 to rebook it.

 

However fucked up this might sound, I would still like to meet him. Can't seem to follow my own rules. If it don't come easy... blah, blah, blah....

 

Third times a charm? Or..... burn me once...... burn me twice..... burn me three times, and I'm the one holding the match to my own hair...

 

Still.... I bet I let him rebook the ticket.

Sorry to hear that PornGuy turned out to be what sounds like such a loser. I can't imagine any bigger let down then having a weekend like that planned, only have something like that happen.

 

On the brighter side, I know what a great time you must have had with AJ Irons, because I have had 2 extended visits with AJ in Orange County, with the last one being just a week or so ago. He is quite the AMAZING hottie for sure. I am excited that I get to see him once more then year when he is in Chicago in December. The guys in Boston and New York are going to be lucky to have AJ for the first two weeks in November.
