I saw an ad, "Nude Massage," on M4M described as "therapeutic and erotic," and the text said, "I always get hard while I do the massage; I can't help it. I hope you don't mind feeling my dick and balls between your legs and against your butt." Well, I most certainly don't mind THAT! The ad didn't give his location, (other than 'New York City,') and didn't list his rates -- just "varies, call me." I e-mailed him, and he replied, "Call me," and gave his number. I called him, and he described the massage, and said he does incalls and outcalls, and told me he lives on the West Side in the 40s. So far, so good. I asked him what his rates are, and he said he wouldn't tell me now, but would tell me when I make an appointment for a massage -- which I can't do this week or next, as I'm leaving on vacation.

I've never encountered a masseur who wouldn't tell me over the phone what he charges. Either he gives massages for free (HA!), or he's very expensive, and doesn't want to scare away potential clients.

Does this sound fishy to you?

Yes very, I would steer clear of this one.

Oddly enough, I got the same kind of non-commital spiel from a visiting escort form LA. He seemed in a rush to get me off the phone, citing being unable to talk before his visit, but when he got here, refused to give me pricing, saying everything I asked for was okay, but just call on the day I wanted to schedule and "no worries, we'll sort out the price." Cue the alarms.

It sounds very fishy. I think he would want to disclose his price so he could weed out potential clients who aren't willing to pay whatever it is he charges. On the other hand, he might think that you will not decline to hire him when talking on the phone.

I would stay away.

I guess some guys have a sliding scale. If you look, dress or live in an affluent building, perhaps he would charge more than someone that does not. In a totally unrelated scenario, I was once shopping in an upscale boutique silk tie store where the prices were not listed and the prices were only provided upon inquiry. The vendeuse would gaze upon you (from head to toe) and offer a price.... I quickly learned to dress down when I shop!
