Back in 2005, Joey was my favorite porn star. He had beautiful eyes, great body and I wanted him. He did come to San Francisco in 2006 for a failed porn shoot, and took clients. I booked him, and it was an incredible experience.

Besides the obvious, he was very open, likeable and shared his experiences growing up in an alcoholic home, losing his mother when he was young and how porn used good looking guys. He talked about low self-esteen. It was an intimate encounter.

A while later he was in the HereTV documentary "Everything You Wanted to Know About Gay Porn Stars". He became HIV postive (bareback escorting & porn), and was in recovery from drug abuse.

I always wondered what happened to that young man with the beautiful eyes, good manners and great personality. I hope he is still sober and healthy.

Robert!

I am very happy to report that I see "Joey" almost daily -- as he is a very busy trainer at my gym here in Palm Springs. He also teaches exercise classes there. He is in a solid relationship (over 2 years) with a great guy who also happens to be one of my best friends here. He always seems to be in a good mood when I see him -- he has TRULY turned his life around! You would be proud of him!

That was great news. He seemed, during the miniseries, to be in the process of making life changes. He had a great personality and tell him I said "hi"!

Thanks for the update on "Joey"... good to hear he's doing well. I knew Joey (pre-porn) casually through mutual friends. From time to time, I would hear or read about Joey. I suspected he was struggling internally... due to poor choices re: career, health, relationships. I also drew the conclusion that substance abuse was the main factor behind his problems.

When Joey left LA, I did wonder what finally prompted his decision to move. I had hoped for positive reasons... so happy/relieved to receive confirmation that Joey's been able to turn his life around leaving behind a very dark period.
