Zac Efron Has A New Movie

"Charlie St. Cloud" opens today - Zac Efron in a non-singing/dancing role.

 

Not sure if it's a decent drama or just a sappy tear-jerker, but he's grown up some from the tween heart-throb and it sounds like he's trying to build a real acting career.

 

Daddy's news the other day had a link to a gay.com article about a "behind the scenes" promo video for the movie, but here's a version on a French blog with some very nice eye-candy stills:

Zac's a honey. The NY Times trashed the flick this morning, but said there is lots of shirtless Zac....

Yes, it's pretty incredible how handsome he is. I just looked him up on wikipedia--it seems he has brains to go with his looks. He graduated high school with a 4.3 GPA (not that that was possible in my day) and he's agnostic... It must be quite a feeling to be able to wake up every day knowing you could have sex with just about anyone you wanted.

I think that reviewer's criticisms were more with the plot and script than the acting. But I'll put up with a weak plot for shirtless Zac. He's got a promising career ahead of him.

 

And let's see how long it takes for someone to release the gay porn version - "Charlie St. Cum" or something like that, maybe with Brent Corrigan. He's not quite as muscular as Zac, but not a bad resemblence.... (and also seems to have grown up to have a few brains, since his messy start in porn).

 

(And I met him when he did an appearance at Trixx/Touch/whatever in Providence (Brent, not Zac) - very, very cute, and a nice guy.)

Critics have panned the movie and suggested that Zac should have held out for something better. They were particularly critical of the director.

Thanks for the posting with the pictures Ken... it is remarkable how close the resemblance is to Zac... I wonder if the last picture is also a close resemblance ~!
