Thanks for the update about Pete. I had watched the movie from netflix a month ago and was going to post a question here if anyone knew what became of him. The film was kind of a sad portrayal of his life as an escort. I could not tell if was real or scripted, but it was interesting but a little boring as a film. I remembered his hot ads and reviews in 2007 to 08 and wondered what he would be like as an escort. His personality was nothing like what I imagined from the pictures and ad he used to run on rentboy. I imagined him to be more polished and professional and together and not as "lost" and sad and immature as he came across in the film. I had the feeling he retired from escorting after doing the film since his ads seemed to vanish and no one mentioned him here or anywhere in two years.

 

I hope he is living a happy and successful new life these days.

I remember going out one night a few years back and Greek Pete joined us. I had no idea who he was, and as far as I was concerned he was just someone else in the group. Kinda quiet, now that I think about it. He certainly didn't come across as some hot, worldly escort. It's funny I should see this thread, as he was just featured in the latest issue of Butt magazine with the title "GREEK PETE, FORMER ESCORT POPPED FIRST PILL IN HEAVEN" which I looked at two days ago. Guess it's not quite so 'former' as the article title would have you believe.

Yup! A while back a "Working Guy" was said to be very effeminate..Until we saw this Interviewer ask HIM questions! He no longer was considered effeminate! LOL

 

Please no What's wrong with being effeminate replies I am just stating what is... nothing more It worked for Jack on "Will & Grace" very well!

I've known Pete for over 4 years. I met him in London and he completely won me over at our first meeting. I was the one who encouraged him to visit NYC and was delighted when he did. Pete is a very nice chap. He is intelligent, charming, a good friend...and very good in bed. He is not at all like he was portrayed in the movie. I thought the movie was bad and exploitative, it made Pete seemed sad and lost, not the real him at all.

Well, the lad is British and by British standards he is pretty muscular. But I would call his body toned and athletic, not muscular. I don't really have a good image of what "buff" constitutes. I find his type pretty appealing and if he were in my neck of the woods, I would hire him.

Thanks for more info. on Pete. I didn't like the movie at all. It was a good idea, but it said so little that in the end I felt that I hadn't been given much more than maybe five minutes of insight, if that.

 

Your comments are very interesting - and to me very surprising. When the film was premiered a few years back I attended a viewing of this amazing film at ICA in London followed by a Q&A.

 

As a male escort I was very keen to see the film - so I identified with so much in the film - it was done brilliantly - but not over glamourized, it showed warts and all - many in the film I know are also escorts - some of the scenes like the Christmas meal scene I know from talking to Pete was much ab libbed.

 

There was terrific realism - particularly impressed with the client scenes - I found it a very positive films - and well deserving of nominations - at the LGBT Film festival in London that year all showings were a sell out.

 

Pete is a terrific role model for the Industry - his Rent Boy of the Year Award was richly deserved - it took a lot of spunk for Pete and many other the other cast who are also escorts to make the film - he is a genuine decent guy - besides being so down to earth, and very handsome he can articulate a full intelectual conversation - sadly lacking of some in our industry.

 

So don't miss a rare oppurtunity to experience for yourself what all the fuss is about.

I meet Pete in London on the 24th November and can confirm all the positive things said about him, got a review to post in due course but can confirm he is a charming guy who can hold a conversation on most subjects, as well as being a hung top. One of the best tops I've meet in a long while, he understood what I wanted and provided an excellent service and I would see him again.

Buff in my opinion means very athletic or muscular with extremely defined musculature. I mean there are a lot of big muscle bear types who obviously are muscular-- but they are more lumberjack types and do not have bodybuilder/gymnast type musculature.
