Am I the only person who gets tired of seeing so many genetically northern European escorts baking their skin to a cancerous brown and aging themselves prematurely? One thing I like about Czech porn is that so many of the actors have pale, beautiful skin. I was stimulated to file this complaint after seeing the leather covering the body builder featured on todays frontpage on escort reviews. Not to say anything against gorgeous Black,Mexican, and Mediterranean skin, but white can be beautiful too:)

Tanning

I've given up sun and electric tanning in favour of lashes of sunscreen, sunglasses, hats and daily Vitamin D. I quite liked the tan line effect, but the skin aging and cancer risk just isn't worth it. I think the tanning trend is on the way out - I'm noticing a lot of gay guys in Toronto keeping their natural colour despite the exceptionally hot and sunny summer we've been having. Besides, I often date Latino guys who quite like the contrast. ;)

Totally agree, I've met with Czech and Polish lads in London and they have beautiful skin.

Also really like ginger lads especially if they are freckled too!

Yum!!!

I agree. There is a type of white skin that should be illegal to tamper with. Nothing hotter than a body like alabaster.

There is a middle gound. I for one greatly prefer a light, golden tan. More is not better. But pure white works only if the skin is free from blemish, which it usually is not. I prefer old porn, from the early 90s and before, when every actor had golden skin but a pure white mid region and a sharp tan line.

I tanned 3 times a week for 15 years then stopped 3 years ago. The only time I have a tan now is when I want to make pictures, I'll go to a salon and have someone airbrush tan me.

Well down here in the Taxed States of America, we just instituted a 10% tax on tanning parlors. Seems the government wants a ride on the vanity and eventual skin cancer of others.

Looks like the Congress found a way to get money out of Joe Biden, too.

What brand of self tanner do you use MasculineCute guy? I used to go to a tanning bed years ago but stopped due to health concerns. I used to use a self tanner brand called "savage bronze" that was a foam mousse ( you could only get it at Sally's beauty supply) but they discontined it a year or two ago. I LOVED It and it looked so natural on me. A true reddish brown. But I have not been able to find any since that look as good as SB did. They all tend to look too orange or yellow on me. I prefer a foam since it goes over my hairy legs and blends better than a lotion.

maybe I should start a new thread about what brands of self tanners both escorts and clients prefer that look natural. I just like a little color on my legs and arms in the summer when I to the gym or am out in public in shorts.

Call me old fashioned but I think skin that is tanned as an incidental byproduct of natural outdoor activity is sexiest.

Sometimes it is called a farmer tan.

By the end of winter my light-olive skin is looking a bit pale but this time of year I spend a couple hours nearly everyday gardening on my roof. And it is so hot up there in the sun that I wear as little as I can. But I make no apologies that my back is much darker than my groin.

I love to be out in the sun as much as possible. I work part time as a wakeboard instructor, so getting tan is just a part of the job. I do use 80 spf spray on sunblock and I still get burned from time to time. I will apply it more the twice but in the Texas sun there really is no escaping.

I like to use good ol' fashion aloe, I have a plant on my porch and when I get burned i just put some of that on my skin and its better then any 50$ moisturizing cream.

Noah, you're always welcome at the ranch where I would gladly rub aloe on you anytime, day or night.

I love a guy with smooth, tanned skin. I agree with Purplekow, a nice tan helps cover up the blemishes and skin impurities. Smooth, tan skin is a turn on for me. And when I say "tan" it doesn't have to be a real dark tan. I just don't find light skin sexually attractive. Is that something we've been conditioned, over time, to feel or like; or do we have a "natural" attraction to either dark or light skin? I've always envied the guys who have a naturally darker skin tone. I'd like to find a good "self tanner" that didn't make you look orange.

When I moved to LA years ago, I needed that SOCAL tan look even though I was as fair as they come.

Yesterday I had my 7th basal cell removed and another 28 actinic keratoses. I have probaly set a world record for those. Now I avoid the sun as much as I can. Except for the occasional nude sunbathing parties at the Hooville City Pool.

Aftet seeing Something About Mary and spending almost a week in the summer in SOBE I now limit how much exposer to the sun I get. Sunny summer days I'll do about an hour and then move to the shade. But also my understanding even on cloudy days one should wear the spf.

Hugs,

Greg

Some people have the misconception that burn is bad, tan is ok.

A dermatologist explained to me that tan is not much better than a burn. Tan = damage to skin.

I live in FL, which is a mecca for dermatologists. I believe FL has the highest number of skin cancers in the US. Many skin cancers occur in people not using sunblock, but a lot of skin cancers are a result of a very bad burn that occurred many years before the SPF lotions were developed. Years ago, all suntan lotions had an SPF of 0. You fried. The lotion did nothing. Some people used baby oil, which gave you an even worse burn. And to make things worse, aloe was unavailable.

Aloe Vera Gel is definitely the best thing for a sunburn. The best brand is "Fruit of the Earth". It's pure aloe and clear. It's hard to find in the chain stores. I buy it online. A 6 oz tube is about $4.

Don't buy the colored ones with added junk. They have no more than 50% aloe.

A lighter alternative to self tanners are lotions that give you a gradual glow. You won't get as dark, but will still get some color.

you are right a tan is almost as bad as a burn. the fact that you get a tan is away of the skin trying to defend itself. I use to tan in a tanning bed 3 times a week for years. after i decided to stop i had a massage client that was a dermatologist he performed 20% tca peels to my face twice to remove any of the skin damage caused by those years of tanning. those kind of peels that leave you looking like burn victim for a week.. Now tanning salons will down play it and say tanning is safe in moderation. there's no way to say what level if any is a safe moderation 1 2 3 times aweek no one knows. Iv heard claims that cancer comes from a sun burn a person got as a child. no one can prove that.

I actually heard a salon employee tell someone once that tanning doesn't cause cancer.
