It depends. There are as many answers as there are former escorts.

I know a couple of lawyers, a psychologist, many in real estate, several in IT, and a social worker. That's just my small circle of acquaintances.

One thing they don't do is "retire". Like most of the rest of us, who can afford to retire? So, they just take a different job. But, you mean, what do they do when they stop escorting and that was generally answered above.

Let me ask you a question? What skills have you acquired or honed during your time as an escort? The answer to that should give you a clue as to what you are qualified to do when you quit.

People skills are important for most escorts to be successful so sales to the public obviously come to mind. RE is one such job but there are many others. Greeter at Walmart? :) Tout for whales at a casino? Politician? If you have learned to hide your true feelings and lie or mislead the public, then, sure.

Best regards,

KMEM

During my time as an escort, I've gotten a Master's degree in Social Work and gone through the process of becoming licensed. When it comes time to retire from escorting, I will begin practicing social work.

What I'm saying is that if you do it right; Anything you can dream of. A good Escort learns to deal with any situation.

I am aware of several who have become successful personal trainers. One, to my knowledge has a construction company. It would be interesting to know about more of them, without imposing on their privacy. Since many are straight, I assume they eventually marry, have kids and conventional occupations.

I am on my way towards that as well. Just finished a college course on fitness which is the 1st step.

Personal training is very similar to escorting LOL. I see in the gym all these young, hot bodied trainers with these older guys and they ask, "so how many clients do you get per day?"

some 'retire' and then come back months later when they cant hack it in the real world. some invest well and never look back. some become the very men that once hired them.

lots of different scenarios. I'd prefer to think that most smart escorts can use their money to make them even more money. I know a couple of guys that could easily retire now-from life- thanks to what they've earned, invested and gained interest on.

We transition to clients and do all the hiring by spending our hard earned pennies of the years to give back to the community that gave so much to us. ;)

When I was a youngun, they used to say "Today's trade is tommorow's competition." Did I date myself too much? :)

Right!

I'll leave that one alone. :)

some invest well and never look back.

Plan, plan and plan more. Plan like tomorrow the stock market is going to crash into another depression. Look for stocks that are good buys and invest heavy but with caution by doing the proper research with your banker and Financial Planner. Hire a Financial Planner and be honest with them about your goals and keep them in perspective. Don't put all your eggs in one basket by just investing in one sector of the economy but all sectors to give yourself diversity. Look into Mutual Funds, property, stocks, bonds and a host of other financial products available. Keep the savings account healthy and growing by using high yield interest accounts but don't be afraid to move that cash into even higher yield accounts but keep in mind penalties as well for making such shifts if any. Look into IRA accounts and do a compare and contrast with your Financial Planner based on your goals and current financial obligations and status in the financial markets. Look for trends and track them over the months and years. Don't be afraid to take risks but make sure the risk tolerance is something you can stomach and if you can't, then don't.

I am being told by several sources to have cash on hand because right now, cash is king. Keep yourself invested but also fluid enough with reserves to draw on in the event something goes terribly wrong in the global economy but also with yourself personally. One's health can take a sudden turn and cash reserves to support your monthly obligations can go a long way.

My parents always told me from a very young age that you invest and save for tomorrow and not today. Be prepared to make immediate and sudden changes if need be but make those decisions with good information from various sources.

Do your research and with a little luck and lots of planning, most will come out just A-okay.

Oh wait, did I mention PLAN, PLAN AND PLAN AGAIN? ;)

Also, don't forget to treat yourself to little gifts for your hard work. Studies have shown that people who reward themselves for hard work tend to splurge less and this is something I practice each month with a little money set aside for me to play with and purchase products that really interest me and make my little heart go thump-thump with glee but again, keep the spending in perspective but enjoy your hard work and hard earned money.

QUESTION EVERYTHING and don't take things for face value.

Just my opinion.

well

Life isn't all about money. Is doing something worthwhile and achieving things too. Retiring young is not a good idea..

I know

I chat forever with my hair stylists. They are so sweet.. We talk talk and talk and then as soon as they are done with my hair we go out to eat and talk talk, BREATHE, and talk.. Currently, I've changed to a female hair dresser not to get distracted. Whenever I'm down I do my hair and talk. :)

On the west coast, Real Estate. On the east coast, hair. In between? I really don't know.
