Just sharing some thoughts and decisions I went through to the final step of hiring my very first escort. Maybe there's something of interest here to both escorts and prospective clients sitting on fence.

 

This was a VERY long process for me - years. There was the issue of balancing sexual identity against the nagging curiosity as to what an escort experience would be like.

 

I did a LOT of web research about gay activity. Some things interested me a LOT and other things I could never do. But I knew I wanted something more than a 1 hour tryst.

 

I decided that someone who advertised as both 'escort' and 'erotic massage' would likely be my best companion for this first experience.

 

I reviewed the free websites mentioned in this forum. It took me quite a bit of time to to work the quality vs time vs cost issue. I wanted the best of all variables - high quality (escort ratings) for a longer period (at least three hours) and at reasonable cost. And since I preferred to control the host location I also leaned towards someone who was not local - at least while I continue to research how this whole thing works.

 

I'm suspect I'm pretty boring compared to the vast majority of encounters posted here. My interests are hugging, kissing, shared shower, erotic massage, oral, messy bed, cuddling, conversation and companionship. I am not prepared to move near the world of anal at this stage.

 

I found a wonderful person with whom I had a great experience!! He was very good with, and for, me. I remain comfortable with my decision to even do this - and with the person selected to share it with me.

 

Additional:

- My attitude towards the escort profession has changed immensely. This forum played a huge role in my attitude change. I appreciate the vast amount of time, information and true professionalism displayed in the forum responses posted here.

- I did not search any sites that wouldn't allow me to review anonymously and free.

- I didn't automatically exclude an escort who didn't have reviews. But for this 'first time' reviews were very important. I don't expect perfect scores. I considered it very favorable if a downgraded review had been addressed by later positive information. Some M4RN reviews have both a short 'star' rating plus a separate text review. I was VERY suspicious of those that had numerous 'star' reviews (sometimes several pages and usually all the highest grade) and not a single text review.

- More on reviews. I don't see the use in web sites maintaining reviews on escorts that are 'retired'. It just clutters up trying to search. Also, as long as there was some recent information I also typically didn't put much emphasis on reviews older than about 2 years. At that point I felt it they were becoming stale. People change. I'm much more interested in recent history.

- Even more on reviews. I like to think my time has value too. It would be very helpful if websites could include a search by those falling within a date range of reviews - i.e. 'reviewed in last XX months'.

- Maybe too much blathering about reviews - but, as a nervous new client, they were critical in my selection process.

- I prefer email for initial contact and phone follow-up. I'm mentally challenged regarding texting.

- Not real comfortable with the 'call me for' rates. Maybe that's just because I'm new.

- Conversely I do like those that specifically indicate a lowered multi-hour rate - especially if rates are actually stated in the ad.

- Current pictures are important. I really prefer seeing a face but I understand escorts might have privacy issues too. If you don't show a face maybe you could at least indicate something about facial hair - i.e. 'clean shaven', 'closely trimmed goatee', 'santa claus' etc.

Questions:

- Look at the pleasures listed earlier that I enjoyed (which did not include anal). What would be a 'client desires' term to use with a future escort when making initial contact? Is there a common term regarding my inexperience? I don't think 'vanilla' (or even 'low fat vanilla') and 'cherry' are correct.

- Are 'call me for' rates just a subtle way of offering escort time under the prevailing local rate? Or is there a definite correlation between what pleasures are being sought vs price? In a 'call me' situation would clients like me tend to be offered a more attractive rate - or taken advantage of due their naiveness?

- When is it typically to the clients advantage to negotiate reduced rates for periods longer than the typical 1 hour listed rate? 2?, 3?

Welcome. You used one word that sums it up when looking for a truly good escort experience: professionalism. The guys that are in this for the long run who are true professionals want to make you happy; YOU are the focus of the encounter. For a first time out, there are some wonderful men who will make the encounter easier for you and that will seem like men you have known for years.

 

From personal experience, a Shaun Ross or Romann would be good for you.

 

One key thing to remember is to treat the man with respect and decency and YOU will be rewarded.
