they can but massage tables rarely break. they also hold much more than people think. most will easily support up to 400lbs of working weight. mine supports to 650

some even have a weight rating of 1000lbs of working weight. my table lasted 7 years b4 being replaced and even then the legs and joints and cables were fine. the vinyl started to crack and bust which is normally what goes first

Enough 'masseurs' have used that line for me to know that the "my table is broken" excuse is just a lie.

I agree the table is broken is a lie. if my table was to ever break id stop working for the 3 days it would take to have a new one shipped. Not using a table can cause a persons back to become misaligned.
