In the last couple months I've gotten a bunch of calls from 312-416-7501 and in fact just got one.

Different people, completely different voices, but the first few were obviously just interested in phone sex,

which I went along with for a bit.

 

Now when I get a call from that number I either ignore it or answer and fairly quickly say "I'm having trouble hearing you can I call you right back?". I'm curious as to what number they will give, but of course they instead immediately hangup.

 

I've tried calling the number but it goes to a fast busy or other non-working signal.

Google the number. (I find it works best to use dashes, i.e. xxx-xxx-xxxx.) You'll find that many people have received harassing calls from that number, some vis a vis a collection agency.

 

You can call your service provider and request that they block that number from being able to call you.

Yeah I've done that, do it for every unknown number I get, and yes dashes are best.

The reports from people are from all over, collection agencies, even from SSA (a software firm that I coincidentally worked for years ago).

But I doubt it is actually from any of those.

Voice can be changed too. It might appear to be a different person but it could be the same person changing his voice with a software. Just ignore it and don't provide any incentives. I hope other escorts can provide you with measures to protect yourself. I hope you feel better soon.
