Poz friendly means that the escort is willing to have sexual relations with someone who is hiv positive. PNP mean party and play. Party means drug use, either they are ok with having sexual relations with someone who is using or they use themselves.

I agree with Lucky, which makes it three times I think. This is a forum in which people can get answers to questions that they have regarding escorts. Those questions are valid, no matter how obvious the answer is to others of us. If this question offended you, ignoring it was the wise choice. It is the kind of question to which one should have the right answer

I have to agree, I understand we take alot of the lingo for granted but I can swear POZ friendly would have thrown me not that long ago. Now admittedly I am not POZ as the OP claims to be but still I know alot of str8 HIV+ people who would not have been certain of the meaning of POZ friendly and would rather take the OP at face value and answer the question. It was posed in a positive light and deserved a positive response. Not an attack

ChgoBoy, you deeply offended ME with your completely unnecessary attack on a new poster to this board. While you may know all the ins and outs of being HIV+, you have no way of knowing to what level this poster was recently diagnosed, his level of familiarity with hiring escorts, and his comfort level with being a newbie here. Regardless of what you might think there is absolutely no justification for your attack on the OP. Stop projecting your insecurities and grow up.

Genini, just ignore the nasty comments. It was a perfectly reasonable question. The escort clearly is willing to have sex with a positive person. The big question is whether this implies that he is also positive, or even that he is willing to bareback. Logically, you cannot infer either, but I see no reason you should not hire him.

Every area of life has its specialized language, and the people knowledgeable in that area often take it for granted that others know what they mean. There are folks who just don't know the basics, especially when it comes to abbreviations and shortened words and slang. I admire a guy who steps up to the plate and says, Please tell me what this means. I have to do it enough myself to appreciate it when others are willing to risk by asking.

As a recently divorced dad and a "still-coming-out-of-the-closet" guy in my late-40's who hires escorts frequently, I honestly had never heard of the term "POZ" nor did I know the meaning of this term until reading this thread tonight. This Forum has enlightened me tremendously since I started reading it regularly a couple years ago. Thanks again to ALL of you "seasoned" Forum participants who help make us "new" guys feel welcome and for patiently, considerately answering our questions--especially the ones that may seem simplistic, trite and/or redundant. You guys are the best. You've helped me understand the protocols and nuances of hiring rentboys. You've also educated me about gay life, politics, the arts, fetishes and pop culture. You've broadened my horizons and encouraged me in more ways than you will ever know. Hopefully, our newbie "Gemini" will continue to participate in this Forum and benefit as much as I have from the wisdom of other Forum members.

I have a little funny story regarding not knowing terms and slang's. In 98 when I came out and started dating for the first time, This guy contacted me on a dating site. He asked me if I was into water sports? I told him no that I almost drowned as a child and was scared of water. god i got told off big time he thought i was being a smart ass, But I was totally serious i didn't have a clue water sports meant something else..
