Thinking that most guys missed this conversation that appeared in the Fetish Forum this past summer I repeat it here... I'm just saying...how does anyone know thats the complete story? Fact is, we don't.

 

An example...a friend of mine was arrested down in S. Florida last year by a cop who came to her incall place. Well turns out, she was in hot water with her (private) landlord because she had not payed rent in 2 months. The landlord knew about her working from the apartment and was fine up until the time she couldn't pay the rent. You cannot tell me, that by her landlord knowing she was working from the apartment and knowing her apartment number, while being upset and arguing about the rent that it was just some random thing that happened. Naaaaah.

 

Now the journalists can publish that story any way they want, but I bet they would leave that information out...or how would they know anyhow? They'd throw in scare tactics like, "Local Miami police are being even more aggressive about cleaning up the city by going into residential neighborhoods, setting up cameras on street corners and having undercover officers hide behind bushes and ambushing suspected working girls".

 

Without knowing what prompted them to do a sting, as opposed to them just picking out random targets, you cant just jump to conclusions. The streets are one thing, thats trespassing. But online...thats a whole different ballpark.

File this one under Urban Myth. This one's been around as long as I've been picking up guys (looong time). Best guess: traces back to a misunderstanding by public of the defense of entrapment. This idea surfaces every time we have one of these threads.

 

very true the whole police have to tell you the truth if asked only happens in the movies. The police can lie and say anything they want to get the goods. another thing iv seen escorts put a disclaimer on their site that by contacting them that you are not a cop or government agency. They disclaimers mean nothing and won't protect a escort if charged.. Atlanta they req a permit to escort. even if you don't talk about exchanging sex for money.they can charge you for escorting without a permit. iv known 4 guys its happened too. since they didn't talk about sex they couldn't charge them with prostitution but could still fine them for escorting without a permit. the permits about 300.00 a year.

Caro whipped, until not long ago he was in Fort Lauderdale, travelling from time to time to CT, I guess to visit his family.

Interesting article from South Florida about how to spot cops posing as escorts. While the article assumes the police will have females posing as escorts, the same guidelines will apply to male cops posing as escorts.

Of course part of the thrill is fantasizing about the cops getting involved... but I highly doubt that will be the case... Though I have heard stories about cops being clients... and S&M clients to boot.

 

Now, several years ago a guy was advertising on Rentboy who actually was a cop... a Connecticut State Policeman no less! He was dumb enough to put his face picture in his add...
