Agnosticism

 

agnostic means you're stupid.

 

It means nothing of the sort. Agnosticism is the view that the truth value of certain claims—especially claims about the existence of any deity, but also other religious and metaphysical claims—is unknown or unknowable. It is a well thought out qualified rejection of deism and belief systems. In my case, I have read the Bible and the Koran and spoken at great length with followers of various religions. This has left me with a deep appreciation for certain religious teachings, but I still remain neither a believer, nor a disbeliever. Instead, I have evolved my own set of values and code of ethics which do not rely on any religious framework, but I do not reject the beliefs of others. Other self-identified agnostics include Bill Gates, Mark Twain, Charles Darwin and Albert Einstein.
