AND THERE IT IS. So Steven gets exactly what he wanted. Enough ranting over the whole thing that by the end, All the guys that we so rightly named for there efforts and success, are reduced to an "insignificant" recognition. Lets try and remember what this was all about to begin with.

That anyone would find SD to be so selfish as to work the PR before coming over the pond...oh my goodness me... If you look back at some of his previous postings in years past here, well there seems to be a pattern. Nice butt or not, I consider him NOT to be a gentleman.

 

All that being said, when you declare "winners" there will always be sour grapes from those who do not win (and/or the folks who have "friends" that do not win).

Let me turn this around. Suppose it was SD who was named Escort of the Year or made the list of honorable mentions. Does any one seriously believe that he would have declined the award or made accusations of favoritism? Human nature being what it is I would assert that he most certainly would have not. He would have basked in that glow and milked it for every single opportunity possible.

 

Let’s also be clear for the finalists on that list its going to be rather lucrative for future business. (Several have been on my list to hire for a while now.) So to make accusations, demean the recipients, manipulate posters, and seek to poison the atmosphere on this board (moderately successfully) reveals several rather ugly character traits. Petty jealousy and hypocrisy head up that list.

 

As far as I'm concerned, this thread should be locked though not deleted. It should remain available as a reminder of what ice a fiery wizard can throw on an otherwise well deserved honor received by a competitor.

I have to confess that I just skimmed through this thread and the other thread, and I came away with an impression that SD did need a timeout. Hopefully the timeout will not be very long, I enjoy his (normally) enlightening and knowledgeable posts. However, how is the list of escorts of the year determined? Is it based on a number of votes from a group of selected people? Or is the list decided by one person? On what basis? On the number of times they posted on the forum or the number of reviews they had?

Others were recognized if they had any first time mentions. I believe that was the system used. It was based on the posters to that question which was pinned to the top for several weeks.

Yeah, I regrettably haven't had enough time to play around here in recent weeks, but even I saw & knew that that was how Daddy tabulated the winners. It couldn't have been any more open and above-board and transparent.

Well it all seemed quite obvious and above-board to me as well and I am sure to most others who have been paying attention.

To Be Fair and Clear

 

I want to make it clear that he didn't use me or manipulate me in any way. I contacted him first to figure out what's going on. I really want to be clear about that.

 

I really think Steve is a good guy. He participated in the 2009 AIDS/Life Cycle to help end human suffering caused by AIDS. He selflessly devoted his time, money and strength for this great cause. When we were wondering about NCM, he contacted NCM's family and he informed us of the sad news. I thought it was very nice of him to do that. It shows he truly cares about his clients.

 

He did post positive things on here too. He's shared nice music with other members and I have noticed that he has a good sense of humor too.

Of course, I am aware that he is too direct. He has offended many people here. My hope, however, is that others here can see what I can see in him and accept him for who he is. Nobody is perfect.

 

Lastly, I didn't mean to defy Daddy. I think Daddy has a very well rounded personality. I respect Daddy's decision.

Steven erred big time! His post showed nothing but jealously and envy as well as disrespect and bitchiness, and in respect to his participation in the AIDS Cycle Ride 2008 and 2009, in the latter year, he made an ass of himself there, too. I got this report from a few valid sources who reside in Southern CA as well as in Northern CA and who also have participated in this highly significant cause for two or three years and in a respectful manner.

 

(I wrote some remarks in the other thread, but I have since deleted them since they tied in with the aspect of derailment.)

 

Now I think it is time for Steven to think deeply about his antics and his past problems with fellow escorts and to apologize to them as well as to begin anew in the months ahead. If he chooses to return to this board after his suspension is up-- it would do him well to return "to the Steven" who I met and thought I knew a few years back. At the time he invariably cited some salient advice and rendered valid information here about many subjects; he was "great" during our meeting, and he seemed to be one who could truly become one's friend, but 2009 was "NOT" his year here.

 

It is unfortunate for his followers as well as to him that he wrote those blatantly scathing remarks about the individuals who had been honored as well as about the one who had honored the three men. Two of them I've met and am indeed quite, quite fond, for they seem to be "genuine." I will be meeting the winner later this month! -

 

So, to end, I hold no animosity towards Steven but disappointment in his poor judgment in this matter.

 

I do hope that he will renew during the months ahead and "maintain" throughout 2010 for all concerned, but more importantly for himself!
