Touch in Providence

Been waiting to see if anyone would post, but alas, none... so I took one for the team and decided to give the new place a go tonight.

 

Yikes.

 

Great venue... well laid out... but the dancers... ouch.

 

Now granted I went on a Sunday night. I got there at about 7:30 and no dancers were anywhere to be found. Bartender was really nice and said to come back in a half hour or so. Left for an hour and when I returned there were about 10-12 customers and 4 dancers. One was a buff'd up older guy. Two were long haired Latino guys. Last was a twinky guy... which is normally my type, but he just wasn't cute... or attentive. While the others all tried to engage customers, he just spent time at the bar flipping through gay rags.

 

The most hiliarious thing was the music. Some queeny 30 or 40 something guy was spinning all these cheesy 80s pop songs. Those poor friggin' dancers. How do you dance sexy to "Mickey" by Tony Basil, "I Think We're Alone Now" by Tiffany, or "Rappers Delight." lol It was a f'n riot... even if I had found any of the dancers worth a trip back to the private area, that music definitely would have killed the mood.

 

I didn't even really converse with any of the dancers about going back for a private, so sorry - don't really have any info on that.

 

I ended up leaving after a half hour or so... and in that time I saw the full rotation of dancers twice. I headed over to 727 and although their venue is a disaster (the downstairs was closed due to flooding), there were a couple cute guys. Chatted with "Bo/Beau" an 18 year old blond & blue (my type to a t) and decided to go for a private. The room was a joke... it's off to the side of the stage... it's like a small hallway. It was freezing cold and there was trash all over the floor. So hideous. And unfortunately, Bo wasn't at all worth the $. I had a better private with a straight guy "Vegas" on my previous visit. This kid was just green and I don't think he'll stick around long.

 

So that was the night out. I'll definitely give Touch another chance on a busier night. It's entirely possible that it was just dead because it was early on a Sunday night. But there's no excuse for that DJ... my god, just put Sirius satellite radio on or something.

By the way, someone on another thread was curious if it was worth the drive from NYC to see the Providence clubs. The answer is a definite no. I live about an hour away and I would find it hard to justify that drive. I've only visited when I was in Providence for some other reason.

 

If you're more than an hour away, skip Providence and just head straight to Montreal. Providence's talent just doesn't compare to the lineups and experience Montreal provides.

Thank you so much for "taking one" for the team! I had posted the request about the new spot, since I'll be traveling to Providence for business AND pleasure this week and was wondering whether to take my limited funds to Touch or just 727. I'm disappointed that they haven't gotten the downstairs done....being "all nude downstairs" sounded interesting. Yes, the little room upstairs is only slightly worse than the closet downstairs for private sessions, but the boys I had in both made me forget the discomfort.

Ill be curious to see how your visit to Touch goes... the club itself is really nice. It's in a cruddy neighborhood, but then again so is 727. I just hope I caught them on a (REALLY) off night with the low dancer count and DJ from hell.

Please see my 727/Touch writeup elsewhere. Touch is essentially Trixx with shower shows added. A WONDERFUL addition, IMHO. 727 was pretty good on Wednesday, but slow on Thursday, but they had a real cold-snap over this time, and the boys say that keeps guys away in early winter usually. Hell, I'd get in there if there was a blizzard! But then, I'm kinda starved for this kind of fun....I don't have much opportunity.

Touch Report

 

I was at Touch this weekend (it looks like 727 is gone), and it's pretty much the same as 2Xcess and Trixx were.

 

A couple of changes - instead of the single big stage, they've set up two smaller stages closer to the bar. One kind of between where the old stage was against the wall, and one over towards the shower area. The dancers would do one song on the "center stage" and then move over to the other stage (the one near the shower) for a second song - I like that a little better, because you see the array of guys a little faster, and if you're not interested in the guy dancing, he's not there for that long. The other nice change was the new incredibly hot bartender - tall guy, dark hair, ripped muscular body. Too bad he didn't get on the stage....

 

There was a mix of about 10 dancers there. A couple of twinks (Keenan and one other), a huge body-builder with a big fat dick (Damien), a Latino guy who really dances and takes his clothes off very fast, Charlie who is either a light-skinned African American or mixed race with a great body and big dick, and several sort of frat-boy types.

 

I spent a lot of the evening talking with a couple of the frat-boys. Sweet, who has been dancing at this place's various incarnations for a while, is tall, kind of skinny and has a dick like a fire hose. He's very friendly and fun on the stage, at table side and in private dances.

 

Roman is a guy I hadn't seen before -- he's very cute, has a nice body, and is pretty friendly. If you've seen the website, Roman is the guy on the "Grand Opening" image. The photo doesn't do him justice - the pose doesn't show how nice his body is, and the picture doesn't have him smiling with his really cute dimples.... (He showed me the cards they had printed up with the website image, and told me he was kind of pissed that they didn't pick a better photo.) Roman was a little pushy about doing a private, but I didn't take him up on the offer, but I think I may the next time I visit.

 

It's a good place for a fun evening, just like it was before. Not anywhere near the Montreal bars, but satisfactory....

Shower Shows

 

Touch is essentially Trixx with shower shows added. A WONDERFUL addition, IMHO.

 

Actually, Trixx and 2Xcess did shower shows as well.

 

Maybe they'll be on a more regular schedule now, but before they were kind of hit of miss - depending on whether the dancers were up to it. One of the dancers told me that a lot of guys hate shower shows, because they have to go around the room selling tickets (usually $10) instead of trying to get private dances, but I think some guys liked them.

 

Sometimes they did them on the spur of the moment to liven things up a little, and when they get out of town porn-stars there's usually a show. I saw a great show when Jesse Santana, Guy Parker and TJ Hawke were there, and another where Damien Crosse fucked his on-screen and real-life partner Francheco D'Macho. (I didn't get to see Reese Rideout's shower, but did have fun tipping him "up close and personal" on stage....)

 

For those who haven't been, it's a separate little area of the club with a big shower about 10-12 feet across, and room for about a 12-15 people to watch. Usually, the dancers will get wet, and then work through the audience for help "soaping up." How "thorough" you can be depends a little on the dancer, but it's normally pretty liberal.

 

If there's a dancer you like doing a show, it's an entertaining investment.

I'm very glad to hear my experience was so dismal because it was an off night. This club had all the ingredients to be a winner - just the talent (or lack of) that night coupled with the brutally awful DJ just turned my night into a dud.

 

I'll definitely check out a Wednesday night ... sounds fun!

 

I never did see go during the Trixx era, but hopefully this place will grow.

Touch is going strong. Went there last night, on account of flying into PVD from the west coast. Arrived 10:30 pm. Nice selection of a half-dozen or slightly more dancers. All happy to be groped & fondled out in the open, for tips of course. Quite unlike the need in NYC or SF to be discreet about fondling the merchandise other than in private sessions.

 

I had one private with one of the dancers, whose name is regrettably lost to the river of time. Rate was $10 to the house and $60 to the dancer, for a 15-minute session. The private room was, as I've reported before, just that -- private. Walls floor-to-ceiling, and a door that LOCKED. With a Naugahyde-topped bench running the length of the reasonably sized, and reasonably clean, room.

 

And, as has been noted here before, the overall space at 257 Allens Ave. is much nicer than the space that the alternative club in PVD occupied during its brief existence last fall/winter.

 

OTOH, my private session was predictably "eh". We sucked each other, but I could not get off in 15 minutes.

 

HOWEVER. I did manage to off another dancer when the club closed at 2:00 am. He took me to his apartment, and for $500 I had a wonderful overnight. Got fucked last night and again this morning. Sweet.

 

I got the sense that not many of their dancers would do that, but some clearly will.

When I saw him in the club, I recognized him from his rentboy ad, which is what led me to ask him if he would see me after the club closed.

Thanks for the Touch report, so to speak. I visit once a month or so, and usually find most of the dancers are pretty liberal about groping and fondling, as long as it's at least a little bit discreet. Though I ended up in a near make-out session with one guy on one of the couches - before they moved the stage, there was fairly private corner with couch off to one side of the stage.

 

And I only recall having to "coax" a dancer once to let me suck him in a private. They're usually more than willing to be taken care of - after all, these are mostly fairly young guys (20-somethings mostly) and even for the "straight" ones, any warm, wet place to stick their dicks is very welcome.

 

I'm not sure whether it's the recession or what, but 12-18 months ago, there were at least a couple of guys there who were asking $50 a song for a private.

 

I've also hooked up with a couple of guys after hours a few times - can we get a bit of a description of your friend? Just curious to see if I recognize him.

Well, I'm still kind of new at this. And it varies by city I visit. Most cities I've been to, the boys explain that no sucking is allowed. Maybe I'm just visiting the wrong cities!! For instance, at Pulse in Orlando, and another one in Key West, you must simply sit, hands at your side and let the boy lap-dance on you. After a few years, the only oral fun I've had was in Providence, both at Touch and at 727.

When I go to a new place, I usually ask several dancers what the deal is before I do anything. That usually gives me an idea of what the general rules are, and whether any guys are more accommodating than others. And I make a point of asking any guy I haven't seen before how far things can go - something like, "Do I get to find out if this is as tasty as it looks?"
