Well seems everyone that I visited in NYC does Therapeutic and "other". Now just because they do more than therapeutic as well please don't discount them, because they do really good work. You don't always have to utilize the other services and all three are very respectable of boundaries set up.

I just like Ben. He has always been fun and made me feel not only physically good after his Swedish massage... but build and easy and great rapport.

All three of these guys are more than excellent, and NYC has a dozen more I could recommend...but these three came to mind first. Like I said... there therapeutic services are above par overall and don't overlook them :D

Hi OC,

Great suggestions. I absolutely wouldn't discount anyone who does erotic work as well, but I do want someone who is a very experienced masseusse.

I'm going to make a disclosure here: I'm a woman. Why am I here when I can just go to a spa? Most massage specialists are female, which is fine, but I'd love to have an attractive male masseur. (I'm straight btw.) I had 2 bad experiences with straight male masseurs hitting on me. So I thought a gay male masseur would be perfect.

Before I get thrown off of here by Daddy, please realize that while I'm not planning to hire someone for "sensual" work, I fully support those who do. Also realize that while there are many places that therapeutic masseurs can post ads (like MassageAnywhere), there are no dedicated review sites for such masseurs. So please let me stay; I'll be the forum's pleasant, fluffy Persian kitten.

Now, OC, on to your suggestions:

Ben: I looked at him before, but my concern is that he only has 1 year of experience. I did a search, and it looks like his background is in escorting rather than massage. I'd rather have someone with more massage experience.

Chris: This one sounds great with 15 years of experience. The only issue is that he's way uptown, which means I couldn't really see him often. I'd love to have someone closer to the Village.

Roman: Another good one, but he says that he does massage "for men." I realize that the site is called MassageM4M but the fact that he specified that he does men (which many masseurs on that site don't) makes me wonder if he'd be put off by a woman.

I'd love to hear other suggestions!

Thanks,

The fluffy forum Persian kitten

Edited to add: How about this for street cred: I've met Aaron Lawrence, who's a good friend of a guy I used to hang out with. We visited Aaron and his partner, Jeff, at their place in NJ a few years ago.

I had a few female clients over the years. I know some guys won't take females but only want to specialize in men. Most of the females I had came to me from local businesses the beauty salons in the area my bank and other places I normally visited allot. I had a couple of male clients that looked shocked that a gay a massage therapist would take female clients. one guy even asked if i was bi sexual which is a stupid ignorant question imo. most of us that attended massage school don't see gender, muscle tissue is muscle tissue.

Hmmm Well Ben has been around for a number of years at least before '07.

I know he worked with another masseur named Barak, I never got into Ben's background because he seems to know what he is doing pretty well.

Although I am not an expert on Male Masseur vs female clients . . . I do know of some, but they are not in NYC. I will ask some of my female co-workers if they know of anyone in NYC. I know they usually trust Spas or like entertaining client to a Spa Day..... perhaps they know of some freelance/spa masseur. Welcome to the site :-)

While I know there are no rules that would prevent females from joining this forum, I personally find it rather creepy that a straight female would even want to be considered as just one of the boys. It's just another form of voyeurism IMHO.

I also know I will probably be slammed for expressing this opinion, but I really don't care. I still don't like it.

You are correct: yours is a shitty viewpoint. This poster has been forthright on why she is here, and to call it voyeurism is either spiteful, or stupid.

Can't all us beleaguered H. sapiens just get along?

Who said I wanted to be considered one of the boys? I just wanted your advice.

As for being a voyeur, one wouldn't need to register, let alone post, to do that here. I'm sure there are many voyeurs of all persuasions (gay, straight, male, female) reading this site, but none would ever make themselves known.

Maybe her specific request was not voyeurism, but what brought her to this site in the first place? I'm sure she didn't just stumble across it in her search for a male playmate. She is a recent member, which she had to become in order to post. But we don't know how long she has been lurking, do we?

As for my viewpoint. Different perhaps, but I think "shitty" is a bit beyond the pale.

I was only on this site a few days before I registered. But what difference does it make? Can you imagine how many people, many who will never hire a provider, look at this site every day without posting?

'

Many sites don't allow anyone but registered members to view. That's not the case here, so I assume the moderators have no problems with what you call "voyeurism."

Welcome!

A warm welcome to the site, kitten. It would be nice to diversify our community by adding your voice. I hope you find a good masseur (masseuses are female).

Who cares how long new members have been lurking? How is voyeurism a threat? It is often apparent from the posts of new members that they've been reading the forums and 'getting the lay of the land' for some time before they began to participate. I did so myself. The tally of 'Currently Active Users' at the bottom of the home page consistently shows 2-3 times as many guests versus members are currently viewing the site. I have met new clients who advised me that they are lurkers on this forum and that they contacted me partly as a result of being impressed by my posts here.
