In Defense of (Mini) Reviews On The Forum

I am not trying to get in dutch with Daddy(heaven forbid--a day without Daddys, well it's like a day without Daddys:(). But it seems to me this is a fairly new rule--or if not, a rule that was not enforced too strictly in the past. One of the reasons I always liked this Forum as opposed to the comparable one on the Muscle Service Station was because this Forum answered questions of what the guys were really like and what they were willing to do. Whereas the MSS "Deli" is filled with questions--that in general are never really answered because a lot of the bodybuilders are either straight--or like to pretend that they are--and some of the guys over their seem to be totally fine with being a thrall or general dogsbody for some crumbs of muscle worship. Whereas here on what was formerly Hooboy's Message Center and now is Daddy's Message Forum--this was the place to go to get the "Full Throttle"(I love that stuff--my pardon to the Coca Cola company for taking the name of their product in vain) unvarnished truth about the guys we all want to meet.

 

Now please don't get me wrong. I am not advocating full reviews of escorts in the Deli--but now I feel as if I am in danger of being kicked out of Daddys forever if I even mention on the Deli that the guy was a great bottom, kisser, over-all nice guy in general, or etc..

 

Well those are my thoughts on the matter. Thank you for your time.

While I have no direct knowledge of rules of enforcement here,

I do have the perspective of someone who's been a Hoovillian for

close to 10 years.

 

Keep it short and sweet, and Daddy will never even notice.

I find the 'mini-reviews' more helpful than the actual reviews. And not just escorts, it applies to massage therapists and male strip clubs.

You get to look at the posters pedigree, and the statements don't have the awful fluff / puff and drama...

On another cruise, some kid flushed a towel down the commode in his cabin. That simple act of terror affected most of the ship for days as the crew members tried to resolve the issue. We were forced to search the ship from stem to stern to find toilets that worked. We had issues in our own cabin bathroom. In the almost ten years that the Message Center has been in operation have you noticed that there is no advertisement other than a public service announcement that Hooboy originally requested for hurricane Katrina? That was on purpose.

 

The "Business" of Daddys is "Reviews" and the income from the advertising that are along side those reviews. This income is what keeps the site alive. In better times, the amount of income didn't matter because it was supplemented from my consultancy. Currently it's the difference between eating and not.

One of the reasons I always try to write a review - even on a well regarded guy. With well regarded reviews, I just let them know that a review is forth coming.

 

In one instance the guy was not reviewed on here, and mentioned to him that I was on the DR and would like to post a review. He said not too since he was leaving SF and was unsure if he would continue "working".

 

There is a delicate balancing act between what is a review and just giving the 411 on a guy either before or afterwards. We all need to try to learn to do a search more. I would have not posted what I did about a guy recently if I had done some searches to see if any one had comments - other than the few brief reviews on the DR side.

 

Just wish that those that take time to post in the forums would take the time to post on the Review site.

Just an idea, maybe a dumb one

 

This is just a thought. I am not sure how I feel about it and it may have already be suggested and shot down before. Maybe it would be possible to have a short review form for guys that may not be so facile with wording? Maybe reviewers could be given the choice to use either a form where they write an extensive review where they tell all the ins and outs of their time with an escort or another form where they just click on some delving questions that Daddy has created (yeah, let him do the work). There would also be a very short section to add comments. Like the form that reviewers use on Ebay but a little more detailed. Maybe guys don't write one of those essay forms because it is just too intimidating.

If they end up like the men4rentnow reviews, that could reduce the value of a the review site. Of course, M4RN doesn't allow you to add in any personalization which is why that site's reviews are next to ludicrous in my eyes.
