I'm scheduled to spend time with Ryan later this month. There are two reviews posted on Daddy's for him - one positive, one negative. I need a tie-breaker. Who else has seen him and with what results? Comments greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I agree, but please understand that the reviews were posted AFTER I'd made the plans. If I'd seen the conflict, I would have waited - I'm not that type of guy - really!

I have not seen him, so dismiss my vote if you like, but I would get out now. He says that this was an unusual situation and that he wishes he handled it differently but he does not say that he did anything since that encounter to make that client feel any differently. If he felt he did something less than optimally, an email stating that would have been appropriate. If the client was asked to leave after 10 minutes, some sort of refund might have been appropriate. Why take a chance? If you do hire him, I hope it works out well. If you hire him and it doesn't work out well, you have only yourself to second guess.

I suspect this is one of those cases where the Daddy quote applies: "Lies tend to grow, Truth tends to stay the same."

I notice over at MER two reviews; Positive Review #1 by "Johnman1961" and Negative Review #2 by "Coach." Contrast that with two reviews at DaddysReviews; Negative Review #1 by "William" and Positive Review #2 by "Johnman1961"

Not great evidence mind you, but one reviewer seems to be escalating and one reviewer is staying the same. Add to that "William" attempted to escalate his review to the Message Center creating a flame war contrary to the "No Reviews in the Message Center" policy. When the thread was removed he then attacked the policy.

In the long run: "Cream rises to the top; Shit falls to the bottom" you have a wonderful opportunity to help the answer the question.

Why not ask the escort for a ten minute grace period; If he's not rising to the occasion you leave: "No Harm, No Foul". Most escorts I know have absolutely no problems with the concept. However that sword should cut both ways, if you ask for a grace period you should also grant a grace period.

I saw Ryan's reply. initially i thought it was cryptic. then I thought maybe he was trying to be polite and not out the client for having, for example, poor hygene or something. Sometimes as the escort, if you "feel"/believe you can't to the job, you just have to say no. Cut your losses and excuse yourself. That action may have resulted in a negative review as well. I have seen ads where the escort or massage therapist asks for pics of the client in advance. I think, how absurd. But.... some escorts only want clients who are 5'10 and 185 lbs.

Correcting the Record

I wrote the review here on Ryan Cade, and it speaks for itself. Some reactions to Daddy's post:

1. My position has been consistent: Ryan asked for money upfront, did not deliver, asked me to leave after ten minutes in his hotel room.

2. I submitted a review but also posted in the Deli, as I had done with a previous visiting escort ("Riann," ironically) in the past. The purpose of the posting was to warn DC people to be cautious while this guy was in town (Ryan's ad said he would be in DC a week), not to circumvent the review process (which takes more than a week). My posting triggered a lot of replies, including from Ryan, and Daddy sealed and removed the thread.

3. Afterwards, I politely asked whether the managers (Daddy et al.) would consider creating a space somewhere so that disappointed clients could sound an alarm to other potential clients. This was not an "attack" on the no-reviews policy, merely a petition to create something new and useful. There was not enough Board support for the idea, and it did not go anywhere.

I hope this clears up the factual record.

As for advice, the idea of a "grace period" is attractive, especially if the client raises it explicitly (and the escort explicitly agrees to it) before the session is set. This is another reason not to pay escorts in advance, even if they seem like nice guys. Nonetheless, there are a couple of practical problems with the grace period idea, as described above.

One is that the grace period is often unfair to the honest escort, who may have turned away other clients or otherwise adjusted his schedule. If the session is "not working" for the client, even though the escort is being cooperative (and did not misrepresent himself), it seems unfair to terminate the session for reasons of bad chemistry etc. On 2 occasions in the past, where I was working with an agency, I asked to stop the session 10 minutes into it---but in both cases I offered the fellow half or almost half of his fee, because I did not think it was his fault.

A second problem is that some clients will feel intimidated by the situation. (I have not used the grace period idea when there is no agency in the background, for this reason.) Even if the escort misrepresented himself to some extent and the session is not working out, to stop it 10 minutes into the session is usually going to be hard to do. If both guys are undressed, it's even harder to carry out. Ditto if the escort is bigger or more muscular than the client. The idea of a grace period works best if the escort is well-reviewed by reviewers with multiple reviews; this suggests that the fellow can be trusted not to make a scene.

I'd think about (1) your resources and (2) why you wanted to hire Ryan. Once in a great while, I'm flush enough to take a chance with someone who has no rating or doesn't provide quite enough info, who is somehow interesting. Usually, these turn out to be negative experiences. Once in a while, I'm pleasantly surprised. Cade's ads have always struck me as having "something missing", particularly info about what he does. He seems to advertise widely, so this is particularly glaring. I could see if he was doing this part-time and otherwise in a situation where he has visibility in his legit job, but not as a traveling escort.

I don't remember the flame war, but I do remember the negative message center "review", which sounded credible. My guess is that Cade submitted or asked a regular to submit reviews as "immunization" against the negative review. I had some private emailing with another person knowledgable about Ryan, through the biz. We also discussed some other experiences with escorts who have raised interest but only questions here. This information also suggested that other people had had problems with Ryan and that this correspondent was credible.

Last point, which will get me some shit. Cade is based in Atlanta. I used to live in Atlanta and traveled widely. My travels included places notorious for flaky or dishonest escorts (e.g., LA, Boston). Atlanta is far worse--lots of guys who have been going in & out of the biz for years, who don't deliver. Lots of guys who don't deliver, period. Ans some of both groups travel frequently. ATL is a convention/business destination, but not some place where people come to stay unless there's a circuit party or they have friends; it's not NY, or LA, or even comparable to similar sized metros like Boston, SF or DC--I think this makes it place where shady escorts can make bucks off of hourly guys who'd never be back. For the most part, the credible Atlanta guys either travel or have left. Atlanta is a lousy place, in general, for services despite having a service-based economy. And that's saying alot from someone in DC.

So, Atlanta-based+not much info+credible criticisms=cancel the appointment. OTOH, if you have the resources and must have Cade regardless of consequences, then give it a try and write-up the review regardless of whether it goes well or not.

Thanks for that very interesting discussion of the Atlanta market. Being relatively new to hiring, it's very helpful to hear about the different dynamics in and personalities of different markets, which is something I'm starting to notice myself.

And thanks for not using the (non-)word "irregardless" in your post, which would have resulted in this thread being hijacked by the grammar police force, of which I'm occasionally a member. ;)

Unfortunately your guess is incorrect. The 2nd reviewer contacted me as a result of the Message Center thread and before Ryan had a chance to react.

I too have had private emails from multiple people that paint a very different picture, one that is positive for Ryan.

So why is the original reviewer continuing to escalate on multiple fronts? I'm starting to think that this is in all reality a vendetta that's being poorly executed.

The point is that the review was given, the response was given. This should be water under the bridge.

The contuning story of "Should I hire Ryan Cade"

Well...he could have been encouraged by Ryan and not said so, as well. You're entitled to you interpretation, but the reviewer seems to have every right to defend his review and your response may escalate more than resolve things. FWIW, I'd still give him a pass.

I'm sorry but it's not interpretation, It's fact. One of the perks in being admin is that I know exactly when things happen.

Again this should be water under the bridge. Why is this escalation continuing?

Note that Daddy's stated policy is to not discuss reviews in the MC. That, alone, should raise flags for you when you see Daddy jumping into this kind of discussion.

He probably knows crap that we-uns can't know. That would be a safe guess, anyway.

Daddy does not speculate.

come on give me a break

1st of all if you read through all of williams posts on here then you should be able to figure out that he is indeed someone that hires often and rarely has negetive feedback about escorts he is not someone I think engages in vendettas thats utter bullshit as are a lot of things that seem to be taking place on this forum this is a rare moment for me to come out and say something but enough is enough get consistent all the current actions of the admin on this MC has made me want to run and hide. if speculation is not what is happening certainly an unhealthy sense of codependence is prevailing on many of the issues that involve reporting posting and otherwise.

frankly it makes the MC an unusual place to feel like anything of value can be discussed honestly. as an escort on this board I dont want to seem like an asshole but i have been hired by William a few times in the past and know for a fact he is a stand up guy

getting really sick of seeing a place that is very important to me head down the path its on

sorry for the hijack. just frustrated

As much as I care for you I have to wonder why this matter is once again being escalated?

I think we can safely state that both the escort and the reviewer acted poorly. The review was tendered, the response was tendered. It would appear that they have no interest in reconciliation.

It's all water under the bridge; why are we still picking at the wound?

First hand knowledge

I have been with Ryan Cade and he's hot as hell. I don't know your exact tastes or what you're looking for but I will say that from my experience - if you tell him what you're looking for - he'll take care of you. His body is near perfect, he's funny and knows how to flirt, seduce and please. I'm like you, I don't trust reviews because what if the guy was a true jerk to Ryan. What if the guy was abusive or demanding beyond reason? I've been with escorts with bad reviews and I think it takes two to tangle and if Ryan was pushed too far he would have to protect himself. I was reasonable....and so was he.

We never heard again from loboguy to see if he took your advice. Why is it that someone stars something and doesn't finish it? If he followed through on his appointment and had a great time, that would have been a helpful contribution to the MC. Maybe a review is in the pipeline.

As for Ryan, well, he does seem to be trying to make a good impression here, and I wouldn't think that one review should determine his entire career. Yes, he and I crossed a small sword, but I do wish him well. This is an escort review site, but we review because we like escorts.

Why?

My concern is all this concern of not one, but 2, admins of this board who come to the defense of an escort who was reviewed through the standard process that's outlined as gospel. Anyone else who tries to discuss an escort is told to "submit a review", but in this case an question that's posed that's no different than "who's the best top in NYC" or "who's best muscle escort" gets hijacked by 2 moderators who should be moderating and not defending because of some insider info they claim to have.

What happened to just administering the comments of the members without all this drama of "we know more than you mere mortals." Give me a break and give it rest.

I think this thread is old and tired. The ryan cade we have gotten to know from his recent posts speak volumes over this one. While I do not doubt the verasity or truthfulness of the reviewers at all, we all have bad days and Ryan seems to have become or come to be known as a better escort than this thread indicates. Lets let this die off now.
