It can be very hot. But make sure you let the escort know how much you want (or don't want) him to interact with others. A fun time is going in separately as though you don't know each other but then acting out a scene, which can be vague or very planned. Good question. To me a sex club is where you remain mostly clothed or at least have to keep a towel on; a bathhouse allows complete nudity and like you say often has a water feature. Not that all these apply to WSC, but I also think sex clubs rely mostly on vertical sex whereas bathhouses are more conducive toward the horizontal and bathhouses offer private space whereas sex clubs may not. Perhaps the two are licensed differently in that one presents itself as a gym and the other as a cabaret or something? I know many cities like SF and NYC chased out the bathhouses but sex clubs remain, so there must be some identifiable distinction.

 

Does anyone else have better differentiations than these?

I'm not sure of the differences. I always thought that the West Side Club was a bathhouse albeit a lousy one. Of course without a jacuzzi, pool or sauna it doesn't seem it should qualify as a bathhouse. Detroit, Milwaukee, and Columbus have better bathhouses.

Hmm one thing I hate about some sex clubs is the lack of decent facilities to clean up after some sloppy fun. Thats a problem I have with the Bijou here in Chicago, it claims to be the nations oldest continuously operating Sex Club, and I think they mean the club with the longest run of no improvements, or serious maintenance. The Bijou does have a couple of nice slings but you might want to bring a lantern it's so dark.

 

A gym is nice but optional. The gym in Steamworks is nicely equipped but not very many people seem to use it during the wee hours when I've found myself there, uhh for research of course. But then there is quite a nice almost labyrinth steam room and hot tub/jacuzzi thing, and of course useful things like a fuck bench and slings. Especially nice that some of the fuck furniture is in public areas. Wish that Mans Country had some slings in common areas. Though some of mans country's new (and some of the old) "fantasy" rooms have windows or walls with jail like bars allowing exhibitionism.

 

The Slammer in L.A. which is called a sex club has at least a few slings and as there aren't private rooms they are of course out and about. Seems like sex clubs may or may not have lockers and bath houses usually also have private rooms. But the West Side has private rooms. So who knows?

 

Then there are the videoarcade/booth places some which have mazes or even dance floors like The Ram, how in the heck do the folks at city hall keep the licensing straight? And how do they decide which inspectors to send?

 

I never was brave enough to go to a tupperware party so I can only imagine what happens at them.
