My guess? He's as insecure as the rest of us in this ageist gay society, despite his looks. That was the impression I got from hanging out with him for over 5 hours. It was very eye-opening... and not necessarily because he was as gorgeous in real life as he is in the movies.

Aiden Shaw is Back

 

I'm not happy about getting older, but even I seem to be doing more gracefully than Aiden judging from his pic. There's a subset of HIV poz guys who seem to age very rapidly and perhaps he's unlucky to be one of them--Jamie Wingo, who resurfaces from time to time in Atlanta, is another. I can't remember if it was Shaw's writings or interviews but he seemed a bit "grand" in things I'd read online. I was never a big fan to begin with and the personality that came through just turned me off completely.

The absolute worst hiring experience of my long and checkered career. I have related it many times on this board.... but I will not go over all the gory details again.

 

Or maybe, I will...???????

 

Just suffice to say, that I have never met any "escort" ( oh, wait, he's not an escort.... no, because he doesn't have .... um.. rates.. no, he's a "celebrity" and you are paying for the rare and very privileged opportunity to just "Meet" him and have him stumble off the plane, saying, "I need a drink..." ... but I digress) .... who has a more complete and total, total and complete, utter and absolute CONTEMPT for his clients. He HATES us all. Read his "books" and see exactly how he feels about the "poofs" that he lets blow him. And then be as STUPID as I was and hire him ( couldn't get over him and Marcus Irons in "Descent" but should have....) and then, have the very distinct pleasure of experiencing it firsthand. Awful. Awful. Worse than awful....

 

After drinks, and dinner, (totally not my schedule... ask anyone.. always it's hotel first and you know the drill)... but when, we did make it back to the room... he did offer to read me a few chapters of his new book... and when I wasn't all ears, he did take off his pants and inform me that he couldn't really kiss me, couldn't really feel any passion for me.... how could he? I wasn't Marcus Irons... what did I expect??? And after rimming didn't even work between us (and I could rim an icebox..... and probably have... ) he gave me the option of taking him to the bar or back to the airport.

 

For some fucked up reason,sadly, I chose the bar... and for the record, back then, I didn't REALLY drink with escorts.... but that night, I made an exception and it was a good thing that I did.... because he got shitfaced and tried to learn how to line dance..... and when you can't even stand up, it ain't easy ....It takes a lot to embarrass me at a bar but he managed to do it..

 

Then after two hours at IHOP, listening to him try and change his flight reservations, quite drunkenly..... we get back to the room and he quite generously offers to let me rim him.... that is, once he is asleep..... "Won't know the difference, bloke.... just lick all you want"...... Charming.

 

i passed. And went to bed on the couch....( as he had previously requested... "I can't sleep with you" ...) and about twenty minutes later, he marches out of the bedroom, fully dressed, saying, "I'm leaving. I don't feel safe with you. You won't even sleep with me.."

 

And off he went into the night.... Fucking crazy.

 

Oh... he also asked for his fee upfront. What's not to like?????????????????????

I agree with you about his seeming grandiosity. I read his book "Wasted..." a couple of years ago. It was a waste of perfectly good paper, not to mention time and money.

 

Sorry to hear about the bad experiences. He never really struck a chord with me on-screen. Even without the feedback I probably would not have hired him.

Having gone down that same path in the past (where my lust for an actor/porn icon overcame my common sense and fiscal responsibility) I am glad you took the time (as painful as it may be) to rehash what happened.

 

I almost considered hiring Aiden a few times in the past, when he was occasionally advetising in London. I am soooo g rateful that my own travel schedule did not allow me to confirm an appointment, because when I later read his book on his escorting experience, and saw what he thinks of clients, boy was I ever shocked -- and in a way frightened off.

 

So hearing such tales, as painful as they are, offer a good lesson to most who hire -- remember, what you see on the screne is NOT what you will find on your bed most of the time. If anything, I prefer those NOT into a porn career -- your expectations are more reasonable and even open for some great surprises.

 

Having had some pretty BAD experiences with 95% of the porn stars I have met, I now avoid them (aside from a yearning to meet again Michael Vincenzo :o )

I don't seem to remember that truly awful experience for you Okie, but remain glad for you shedding some light, and frustration, to give us other blokes here a very clear picture. No one deserves to be treated like an ass. Treated to one, nice, firm, and round....yes. From your tale, it is obvious Mr. A.S. doesn't have much manners and respect for himself, much less others. There is something not so vaguely depressing seeing someone who could have had promise being forced at his age bracket to post an ad on Rentboy. All of this in the face of an awful reputation here in NYC. What's the next step for him? Selling his a** for $20 a pop at the 2nd floor men's room of the Port Authority? Too bad. I find this a very sad spectacle, and hope this person can finally get his act together.
