It's a scam. There are a lot of scammers out there. One of them threatened to squeeze money out of other people. Once you give your private information they can use it to take advantage of you or even threaten you. Never give your private information or give your credit card number over online. I counter threatened him and he backed off. I think he came back again. What a loser.

 

 

I found a massage advertisement in Craiglist and responded. I was told to go to his website at http://www.datescott.com and pay the $1 fee to get his contact information. He said that this process was to ensure safety and legitimacy. I think the whole process smells but wanted to get confirmation...

Just cause there is a hot pic - don't be fooled! It is NOT that hot guy you are talking to - probably a call center in INDIA.

 

For example - I'm not really actor Chris Evans from Fantastic four - even though his pic having an orgasm is my avatar. Hard to believe!

SCAM - I exchanged emails with him and story doesn't add up

 

He has been posting in DC/Balt the past couple of weeks. I contacted him and received the same response as everyone else (see bottom of post).

 

I responded that it sounded like a BOT or SPAM. I asked him to tell me something that would let me know he was real.

 

He responded: i do incalls in my house downtown and ill do them as early as you like

 

Well there are no houses in downtown DC. The response was very generic. I still decided to play along.

 

I responded back: Where downtown? What are you near?

 

He responded: be easier just to discuss over the phone so just call me up after you verify yourself and well work it all out.

 

So...he points me back to the website for verification.

 

I googled the words in his. It's a copy of this masseur's ad: http://www.massagem4m.com/tx/austin/male-massage/14035/.

 

I contacted the masseur Patrick and he verified that he was not the same guy.

 

I let the Scott (the scammer) know that I knew his ad was copied. He still stuck to his story with the following reply:

 

sorry for all of this but i get so many emails everyday and its mainly people who are underage and who are not serious so its a quick easy way to weed them out and dont worry its billed on a secure network and is 100% safe and only shows up as a atm transaction so dont have to worry about that ,promise ill be waiting to hear from you

 

I told him that his story still didn't ad up. That he had wasted more time emailing back and forth with me, than it would have been to just set up a session.

 

He asked me how he could prove he wasn't a scam.

 

I said let's set up a session.

 

He went silent.

Scam Ads still run every day in DC (and Baltimore)

 

I am amazed that this scam is still running. Out of curiosity, I did some more seraching. I found this guy's account on another site:

the guy posted on CL, i emailed him coz i wanted to get his service.he emailed me back and said that i have to go to the site to make sure that i won't fool him. so i went to see the site fill out all the info being aske, because i really wanna get his service i gave my card number click the 7-day trial. i checked my account and i was deduted $4. anyway, i emailed back this scott and asked me the ID number so he will call the agency...he said it's already ok and emailed me again and gave the number to call which i did, the phone was ringing but it said it is busy...

i got back to this guy but never emailed me back.is this a kind of trick? or SPAM? im sure im one the people this man fooled...if one million people responded to the ad, so how many millions of dollarrs already collected by the people behind this scam?

I answered the same ad, posted on CL Indianapolis, and got the same email on Saturday, from "Tyler." While the photos turned me on, my scamdar was going crazy.

 

Except for the actual guy whose ad has been plagiarized, I'm quite sure there's just one person running the scam, posting this ad in a variety of cities.

 

Hot body, low rate . . . if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

 

No one making a living by providing personal services is going to set up a ridiculous barrier for clients, especially in a business where so many clients make contact on impulse.
