Expat...Just what are the Duties of a Host?

At Numbers, they weren't able to hire "dancers" because they didn't have the right liquor license. So the owner/manager decided to use them as hosts. They are hired to walk around and meet with the diners and the guys at the bar. Their main purpose is to get the customers to buy more liquor, more food etc. The manager also asks them to join single diners. Oh, and they walk around in speedos, underwear and other erotic wear ;-)

 

It's an interesting environment.

Expat, not to highjack the thread but what you've just described was known as "B Drinking" in bars and restaurants of the deep South up until the 1970's. Usually the establishments were owned by the Dixie Mafia and women were employed as hosteses to encourage the exact same thing. Only difference was the Mafia guys took it one step further and would drug the patrons and then relieve them of any cash or valuables.

 

I grew up in a city in Louisiana that was famous for this practice. It took most of the decade of the 1970's to clean out these joints. No I am not accusing Numbers of engaging in nefarious activities. But this just brings back an aspect of my past experiences gowing up.

Expat..Thanks for the Info. I'm thinking a pair of "Slow moving Speedos" etc is far more Entertaining mingling in a Room than a Pair moving Fast on a Stage at a distance.

Jawja--I think I gave you some suggestions when you 1st talked about the trip. Here is another. He's young--but the "boy" has a physique like a "Greek G-d". Not quite as muscular as I picture Apollo--slightly more slender as I picture Mercury. He had an incredible V-hape torso. He's also a great kisser--and his endowment is phenomenal.

Of course I don't know who is on your list (I've got a little list they never would be missed, no never would be missed....) but I would think a lot about squeezing him in somehow. Asssuming the move has not disrupted his work-out schedule--his physique was really stunning.
