Barcelona

 

I am also going to Barcelona soon (late May) and would like some advice on reasonably priced accommodations. I am not too interested in spending $200+ on a fancy hotel, especially since I'll be over there for 10 days or so. Can anyone give me some recommendations for something a little less expensive, in a convenient area? I have never been to Barcelona before at all, and am having some trouble figuring it all out....

Go to http://www.Fordor's.com. Select the country and type in your requests: "Barcelona accommodations." There's some great info. on this site.

 

I had planned to stay at Jazz Hotel but then opted to stay at the Axel Hotel instead. I think I got a deal about two or three weeks back for the time that I plan to stay there. ...hope I will not be disappointed at check out time! -

 

Try http://www.TripAdvisor.com, too!

 

As an aside you might want to stay in the gay area or near the Ramblas area. Both of the hotels where I'd made reservations are in or near the Ex...(gay area).

Much to my chagrin, I just found out today while perusing reviews in "Spain" at this site that Xisco has "retired." Yes, this hottie who I wanted to see me on my birthday in September no longer escorts. I do hope that between now and then that he'll reconsider and reenter the ranks.
