I arrived last nite (Wednesday). My flight got in just after 7pm..and I quickly caught the shuttle down to the Berri Station. The shuttle was waiting curbside when I exited the airport. A good sign..When the shuttle made it to the Berri station, the hotel shuttle was also waiting...Another good sign.. The weather, while on the chilly side with drizzling rain, wasn't anything that couldn't be tolerated, even for someone from Arizona..

 

I checked into the Hyatt..unpacked, took a shower, and headed down to the Village. The Metro is no longer offering a 7day unlimited pass. They have single day and three days, or a new, "loadable" card. Speaking of the metro. It seems like for all the years I have been coming to Montreal, the escalators at the Beaudry station have been non-working. Well, they still don't work, but there are actually workers present who seem to be working on it this time. I got off the metro at Papineau and started the walk back west on Ste Catherines. First stop--Adonis.

 

(Remember this is Wednesday nite)..Smaller crowd of 10 or so people, and probably a comparable number of dancers. They were, with one exception, young, slim, twink types that you would normally associate with Taboo. Several caught my eye, some in a good way, a few in a negative way..

 

The first dancer to approach me was Ray, the one "older" dancer who just wasn't my type.. After he finally took the hint and left my side, I left after finishing my drink and started down toward Campus. I bypassed Stock since (to my knowledge) Wednesday is ladies nite.

 

At Campus, the crowd was equally small, and again with about 10 or so dancers. The dancers were not the "big gorillas" that used to dominate the nights at Campus, but the ones I saw were still a little more buff and butch looking than my preference, so again, I finished my drink and headed back down the Adonis.

 

This time at Adonis, I started talking with a dancer, Adrien. He is a very intelligent young man, not quite 19, who actually could hold an smart conversation. He was fair skinned, hair, and smooth... about 5'6"...After a few minutes of chatting, we went in the back for a private.. He got hard fairly quick, and very affectionate, but the interaction was limited. We had 3 songs and i called it quits and went back up front. A few minutes later, another dancer, Angelo, come up to me.

 

Angelo is taller, lanky, and cute..with dark blonde/light brown hair. He was less about the talking and more about "wanna dance"??? I went ahead and went back with him.. Again, quickly got hard, but again, not very "interative'.. On a quick side note, they have cut the curtains down so that while sitting, the customer is visible from mid=stomach and down.

I gave him three songs, and when it wasn't going anywhere, I ended the private.

 

Back up front, there was one other cute guy, Gustavo. A very compact latino.. very young looking. I never did get a chance to do a private with him. After sitting back down at my table aftre Angelo, Adrien came back over and sat and talked with me for a good half hour, until I left for the nite.

current state of affairs at Taboo

 

I almost forgot.. Adrien, the Adonis dancer from last nite, was telling me his version of why Taboo is on a downswing..

He said that one of the two owners bought the other one out. And now the owner doesnt want to be the "twink" club. He fired several dances for being too thin, too fem. He also started making some strong demands on the boys such as telling them what to wear, what songs to dance to, etc.

 

According to Adrien, he stopped by there on a recent Saturday nite, and there was a total of 6 dancers.. Plus, the owner upped the charge for dances (no curtains, remember) to $12CAD and then to $15cad. I don't know if those prices are still in effect or not.

Big Muscle...Where did they go?

 

I've read a few posts recently mentioning that there has been a change in Campus' nightly line-up, i.e. that the big muscular guys are no longer there. Is there any place now in Montreal to see big muscle guys? I assume Stock is still the place to go for buff, fitness model guys, but I'm disappointed to hear about the changes at Campus.

after just one night here, I can't speak with certainty, but Campus last nite was definitely a change from the musclebound gorillas who used to be there.(Can you tell that they are not my type?) The dancers last nite were more in the mid 20's to early 30's, still muscular but not over pumped...Stock, in my opinion, has always had more muscle guys.. but they were more in the 20's range there where as Campus was more in the 30's range...Just my two cents worth.. It is currently 4:30pm here in Montreal...about to head down to the Village to campus and/or adonis. Meeting TxAlphaDog in Campus around 7pm...(as long as his flight is/was on time and he gets checked in to his hotel on time.) Depending on what time I get back to my room tonite, I will post more either then, or in the morning..

Thanks for the updates. Would be good to get an update from Stock - I've always preferred Stock as it has a much better atmosphere on Friday and Saturday than the other clubs.

I'm not clear on the wisdom of raising backroom dances at Taboo to $12 or $15. The dancers don't share their backroom earnings with the owner, correct? I wonder why he felt the need to raise the per song charge? Especially given the continued no curtain conditions there. I'd hate to see the club disappear since I've never enjoyed Adonis and notice from the report some 'old timers' are still pestering the hell out of you. Although I can certainly find enough time occupiers at both Campus and Stock.

Thursday nite updates

 

DISCLAIMER: any reported actions occuring in private dances is/was between two individuals. Your actual experience can and most likely may vary greatly, even with the same dancer....

 

Tonite we visited Campus (late evening and night time), Stock, and Adonis (nite time).

 

Before I go into details, please note that today it reached 60 degrees and was sunny..so many locals were out enjoying the weather instead of being inside the clubs..

 

Campus afternoons was good. Enough of a crowd to give it energy, but not so many that you had to wait in line..We were there from 5:30 until about 7:30..several cute dancers, but the one who got both of ours attention (mine and TxAlphaDog) was Brendan. An adorably cute, sexy blonde boy... Short, compact, muscular, smooth, AND a very sweet guy. He was very "interactive" in the back..

 

We left Campus and headed for dinner. We went to 100 secrets, which is on Amherst, just north of Ste. Catherines.. Very nice dinner, great food.

 

After dinner, we stopped in at Stock.. They had the main stage open, but had the room partitioned in half.. Still, it seemed cavernously empty. Not many customers, not many dancers, and none that made us want to stick around..

 

So we went down the street to Adonis...The boys here are more my type than TxAlpha's. He prefers a little more muscle and a little less fem..They were having a preliminary to the Mr. Adonis contest. The place was full...Lots of dancers..I ran into my favorite from last nite, Adrien. He sat with us for quite awhile and then we went in the back.. Still not overly "interactive", but he is a nice boy. When we came out, TxAlpha was ready to go because one dancer (Ray) wouldnt leave him alone. Remember I had the same problem with him the nite before.. Why can't some dancers take the hint.. NO means NO..

 

We went back down to Campus to finish up the night...There were still some of the big musclebound gorillas, but they were mixed in with more of the younger, boy next door types.. so it was actually a good mix of flavors..Brendan was there still, and TexAlpha took him back for a private again.

 

One note for those who visit montreal... it seems like the art of dance is fading away.. There has never been many at Stock who could dance.. most of them do what i refer to as the "Stock Shuffle". But the other clubs had some who actually had rhythm and danced, as opposed to just walking around. So far, I havent seen any "dancers" at Campus.. only more of the patented "Stock Shuffle"..One guy, the biggest (and oldest) musclebound gorilla, didnt even shuffle... he merely walked from one side of the stage to the other..The one exception to the no dancing would have to be Adonis.. It seems that there are still some boys there who try to dance, try to entertain you with their moves and not just their dicks. They use the pole, they move in sync with the music, and, imagine this, they actually take their pants/underwear off instead of waddling around with them around their ankles..

 

So, for my tastes, I would put Adonis in the lead for this visit, with Campus in second..Lets see what Friday brings...

 

Hopefully if we can find it, we are heading to Schwartz's tomorrow for smoked meats..

Even though we have very different tastes in bars/clubs and dancers, it is still exciting to read about the "goings on" in Campus, Stock, L'Adonis and Taboo. Friday update..

 

cooler, rainy day today...made extended stops at Campus, Adonis and Stock..

 

First stop (3pm) was Campus...decent sized crowd. Decent number of dancers, probably a dozen or so..Our favorite from yesterday, Brendan was there. So was Criss, who used to dance and bartend at Taboo. He now bartends nights at Campus, working the shooter bar, plus dances occasionally as well. He told more stories about how the owner of taboo seems determined to drive the club into the ground..

 

We left Campus around 5:30 and headed to Schwartz' for an early dinner. For those who haven't heard of it, Schwartz is a famous deli here that specializes in smoked meat (think Corned beef). It is a small, 80 yr old hole in the wall with cheap, good food.

 

After dinner, we walked back to the village (the restaurant is on St. Laurent, north of Sherbrooke and Ontario...and down to Adonis. My favorite from the last two nites, Adrien was there again, and when he was free, he came over to sit with us...TxAlphaDog spotted another who got his attention.. He went to the back first, and came back after a few songs. He said the guy was good, but didnt stack up compared to the new "gold standard" privates of Criss and Brendan. I did a couple of dances with Adrien again, and then we headed back down to the other end of the strip. It was just past 8, and Stock had just opened, so we bypassed it and went back to Campus.

 

The place was fairly full of customers, plus 20 or so dancers...A "new" guy caught TxAlpha's eye.. He didnt get his name, but supposedly he was Russian...Again, good in the back, but not up to the standard..

 

I on the other hand, met Timothy or Timo...a smaller, thin but firm skater/hip hop type. Lets just say that he raised the bar for interactivity for this trip. And he proved to be a true twinkie, complete with the creamy filling.. **WINK< WINK**

 

Next, we headed down to Stock.. It was not very busy, and even by 11:30 was only a little over half full. They had about 25 dancers...Very few "old timers" though.. Mikael was there, as well as Aaron and Dominick. Most of the others were new (from the last year).. The biggest surprise of the night came when out of the blue, (they had displayed a list of dancers on the vid screen and he was not listed), Eddy appeared on stage. We were about ready to leave when Eddy showed up. TxAlpha is one of the many Eddy admirers, so as they disappeared into the back room, I left and headed back to my hotel.. alone again..I was tired after not getting a good nite's sleep last nite..

 

For tomorrow, I am seriously thinking about visiting apsara massage in the village. Their website is http://www.apsaramassage.com Has anyone had any experience with them? They have several "pamper packages" and some cute masseurs.

 

Another thing I noticed at Stock..90% of the dancers are using artiicial means to get erections..Cockrings or bands are the norm now at Stock. Out of all the dancers there last nite, only about 3 did not have a band around the base of his penis while performing his slow song. No one at any other bar seemed to have that issue however..

hotel visits

 

For this part, I will not mention names, but so far, most of the boys seem open to doing "hotel visits".. again, this will vary from boy to boy, customer to customer. What one boy does with one customer may be completely different with another customer. One boy has quoted a rate of 150.. another said 120...but one, much sought after boy refused to do hotel visits. He said he knew he could make a lot of money doing it, but he just wasnt comfortable with it..Good thing he is so accomodating in the back room.

 

I have an appointment for a spa package in 45 minutes at apsara massage.. Body scrub, body wrap and massage for 150$. I will be sure to report back on my experience...

Saturday's updates

 

It was a cold, rainy day...High was mid 40's, drizzling rain most of the day..Despite that, Stock was the busiest we saw on our trip. Full house of customers, around 30 dancers..Overall a good energy..I know I will probably get the wrath of a few people on this comment, but Eddy's new haircut does not look good. He is letting it grow out, but still spikes it up and out. He looks like Sonic the Hedgehog. It appears that maybe his popularity is waning. In past trips, he never had to circulate/work the room to get private dances.. This time, he was. But irregardless of the hair, he still has a beautiful body to look at.

 

A midnite stop in at Adonis showed a full club of customers and probably 15-20 dancers. Last year's twink du jour from Taboo, Skyler, is now dancing at Adonis. I dont know if it is the influx of dancers from taboo or what, but where as last year i experienced my most "full service" backroom dance at adonis, this year all of my dances there have been much more restrictive-On the same level or just slightly more "interactive" that what used to be the norm for taboo.

 

Campus, likewise, was crowded with dancers and customers in the evening...

 

Apsara Massage--If you are looking for a good, spa treatment/pampering, I definitely would recommend apsara. I had a 2 and a half hour treatment of body scrub with sea salts, body wrap with cocoa butter, and a massage, and it was only 150$. Very relaxing and invigorating. The massage was not erotic in this case. The masseur (Carlos) remained clothed thru out. I believe that they do do erotic massages as well at a slightly increased rate..

Thanks for the great write-ups LurkerSpeaks. I've always loved L'Adonis bar as it just seems to have a really good vibe among the staff, dancers and customers.

 

Love the botanic garden too. Have you had a chance to see the Imagine exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts? Think that exhibition has free admission to, and I can't wait to see it on my next visit.

It would seem by some of your comments that you might be trying to get a rise out of someone.

As for the Cockrings, why do they bug you? There intent is to keep the dancers hard longer during there slow song. Taking viagra everynight that you work certainly isnt healthy.

 

Eddies hair....It seems to be working for him, his income is steady and doing very well, he has many many regular customers that bring him gifts and spend lots of money on him.

 

Since you wanted to talk about hairstyles is your barber's name Fester or is that going to be a new style ? ?

thanks for posting my pic, Taz..I really like that one.. I wouldnt call it egging people on, merely stating my opinions and observations. I was trying to get some conversation flowing here since it seems like few details have been posted on montreal lately.

 

As far as the cock rings go, I had never noticed them used so commonly before. This time almost all of "your' dancers had them on, but I didnt notice them at any of the other clubs.

 

And for Eddy's haircut, I know that many people here are interested in Eddy, so I was trying to share some details about him for those who havent made a trip to Montreal lately. I didnt care for his new haircut.. just as you apparently don't care for mine.. Both are individual opinions and we are both entitled to them as well as entitled to state them..I am sorry if you felt I was "attacking" one of your boys.. but if you read the entire paragraph, I did state that despite his haircut, he still had a beautiful body to admire..

 

PS Taz.. sorry I missed you on this visit. I asked Denny and he said you weren't due back in town for another week or so..

funny yes, original no.. I have gotten the festor comment ever since i did the complete shave several years ago. I even took a picture of myself with the lightbulb in the mouth. I wasnt trying to rate one club vs another. Just sharing my observations.. Yes, we all have our preferences in boy types..and yes, personally I do prefer a little smaller statured than Stock.. but that doesnt mean I cant have a good time there. I do feel that Stock is the "nicest, classiest" of the montreal strip clubs. Just unfortunately for my tastes there are few boys there that strike my interest.. Jo is long gone, I never made it there to see Frankie...But I will be back again to see what treasures you have found..And who knows.. maybe next time my new found Montreal crush will be at Stock instead of Adonis where the one for this trip was.

The trip in summation

 

All in all, a good trip. But it did appear that the economy is taking its toll. No as many visitors in the clubs, and lots of new faces dancing.

 

My latest Montreal crush would have to go to Adrien at Adonis. Just an all around nice boy..If you are looking for a boy to take you in the back and fuck your face, then he isnt the one for you. But if you want a nice young boy with a soft body, a soft touch, and a brain in his head, then Adrien is the one for you.

 

Most interactive backroom dance would be a tie between Brandon and Timo, both from Campus. However, on a second day with Timo, he had fallen and bumped his head skateboarding and was shakey and seemed out of it..then did not showup for work the next day or answer his phonecalls..Hopefully he is ok..

 

Best new find for me would be apsaramassage.

 

Best meal would be a tossup between 100 secrets and Donatella.
