All positives and negatives aside-- Benjamin N... certainly "missed the mark" as Okie alluded in the above post. What he wrote was not hyperbole, scarcasm, or anything else (literary); it was just plain baseless and extremely insensitive! "Enough said...." So let us move along!

 

And to the writer who wrote "tit for tat" to another's comments-- I don't plan to do this; as it is these actions that have brought this site to a halt on two occasions for over a month during the past two years. We can't afford to have this happen again; this site is far too important to have the webmaster close it for other than making techno improvements!

I really don't care if the webmaster closes the message board. It's useless - many who respond insist they have a psychic ability to "read between the lines" and they absolutely know what you meant but didn't say.

 

This is a fucking waste of time. No matter what you post someone takes offense, determines what you meant even if you didn't and adds words into your sentences and reads way too much into a post.

 

I don't need this shit. No more posting here for me. I've had it with the people that think they have a psychiatric degree and can determine my thoughts when they don't even know me.

My crystal ball says, this poster is seriously pissed off. There does seem to be some groups that toady each other and then accuse others of being toads when they don't agree with them. I think it unlikely that there would be complete agreement about the sun rising in the east. There is an old saying which paraphrased says, to keep a calm discussion don't mention religion or politics. This board thrives on, one, discussing politics and other personal thoughts, and, two, wouldn't permit a calm discussion under any circumstances. The primary use of our fingers is for pointing, right?
