So it wasn't the Oscars...no sight of Angelina or Brad smirking for the audience, though they could have pulled off winning the award for best duo. The event's emcee, Shakila (sp?) was a mediocre drag queen without much sass and even less class. Her efforts to energize the large, but oddly tame crowd consisted of yelling into the microphone, which might have worked if you had been able to understand a word of what s/he was saying.

You'd think that poor lighting and sound problems would have been worked out beforehand. I've seen high school musicals with better production quality. It was one not so hot mess.
