This is beyond being a split personality… There is definitely some sort of multiple personality syndrome going on here and it traverses the gamut from the kind and generous, trough the deliberately vague so as to create distress in an ambiguous, devious, and elusive manner, to being overtly and deliberately downright nasty, malevolent, and spiteful.

 

That there exists a certain amount of benevolence in the equation gave one hope that the benevolent portion of the persona would ultimately dominate… and especially in light of the new format where it was optimistically anticipated that an aura of civility and respect would arise Phoenix like out of the ashes of the old Message Forum. Alas, that was not to be the case.

 

Sure, there will be differences and disagreements, but that does not mean that individuals should be attacked personally... and attacking an individual subversively is not exactly a valid defense! However, when such ad hominem attacks are initiated that could potentially affect one’s reputation and ultimately one’s livelihood then there is complete justification for fighting fire with fire, ice with fire, and wizardry with fire… Optimistically it should not have to degenerate to such a level… but if that what is it takes… so be it… In that regard I applaud the big guns that were unleashed…

 

I think there is still hope… Now I don’t think we are suddenly all going to hold hands and sing Kum Ba Yah… but as Brooklyn Guy has implied most of us actually do get along and act in a very civilized and considerate manner.
