Looking for something different to do on Wednesday nights? For about 3 months now, promoter Bobby Austin has been hosting male dance parties at Rush (the former club Heaven).

 

Last night, over 8 dancers were on hand to entertain the customers. Most of whom range in size from twinks to medium builds. They are a diverse group of youthful whites, blacks, and Latinos.

 

The doors open at 5pm and the go-go dancing starts around 7pm. Cover after 9pm is $10 and before 9pm it's free.

 

Promotor Bobby Austin brings with him the sounds of DJ's Dimitri and Alex. Dancers work in their tight fitting briefs while performing on the bar and around the club. They offer lap dances in a private room in the back.

 

Joshua, the cute, young manager and bartender is very friendly and helpful. Assisting him is another young bartender named Danny.

 

I hadn't been to this club since the days of the buffboyzz private parties. It's a small bar that's been somewhat renovated. It has a new state of the art sound system and lighting. It's very clean and in a "safe" area of the City.

 

Several of the dancers I recognized from other clubs in NYC and LI. I also recognized many of the customers from other clubs.

 

I found the promoter, dancers, and bartenders to be very friendly. The club offers another night of fun male go-go dancing.

 

Since I'm not a fan of loud music, the type where you can hardly hear the person talking next to you, I'd suggest lowering the volume.

 

Always good to see a new male go-go club opening.

When I was there the place really needed Major Renovation! Bar Area-Stage Definitely! Have they actually put some $$ into the Place? The Bathroom could have used a bulb brighter than 25W also! LOL

JT... I also recall what that place used to look like and yes, it's been renovated. Once inside you'll notice the changes. Bar and entrance look the same, but the stage and dj's area are all new. Bathroom and back room for lap dances have been updated and are very clean. The new tables and chairs add to the charm. I was very impressed by the new lighting system. The effects from the "scorpio" lights hitting the crystal ball were amazing. Also, there was a light show with smoke taking place on the club's floor. Finally, they had a movie screen over the back of the bar that played top rated porn. It was large and crystal clear. I think you'll be impressed. Let me know if you go.

How much does the lap dance cost? Was the lap dance similar to 20 club?

The lap dance fee is set by the dancer. I did a lap dance with Latino twink NICK, who also works at the 20 club, and was charged $25 for one 5 minute song, (I knew this before we started). He wanted to do more but I didn't feel I was getting my money's worth, so, I stopped. He told me he'd let me do "more" if I paid more. I passed.

 

Was the lap dance similar to 20 club?

 

At RUSH you have a backroom for lap dances. In that room other customers/dancers will be doing lap dances. When I went in there were 3 other dancers there but, by the time I left, we were the only ones in there... It's very comfortable, clean, and dimly lit... As for what goes on in the back, you'll have to work that out with the dancer.

I'll let you know if I plan on going again. Remember, the ear deafening, loud music really bothered me.

$25 for 5 minutes sounds good to me; that's about what you pay at Stockbar in Montreal.

 

Of course, I'm sure the ground rules are a bit different at RUSH; or am I wrong?

Hoover... Apparently as Cooper says..$25 gets you the Ground Rules! LOL

 

Anything "Above Ground" is gonna run more money. And I'm thinking in a Private Atmosphere also? Montreal will always, now that The Big G is long gone be the place for Male Strip Clubs?

 

Hopefully RUSH does catch on! W20 is just to over the Top $$ wise.

 

Except of course for those with the 2 Drink and Happy to just be a Voyeur all night attitude. Which of course IS NOT what the Management or "Working Guys" are there for! ;-)

Thanks, JT. You are right. Cooper did say something about that. It didn't occur to me that his dancer wasn't being stingy but instead just following the ground rules.

4.16 a min is 20.8 for 5 mins, but you do have to buy an hour to get that discount. On the other hand, you get much more...

RUSH CLOSED

 

Bobby Austin (Promoter of After Work at Rush) reported tonight that after 17 weeks at Club Rush they have closed. The last party was on May 5th.

 

Its not clear if the entire club or just the party has ended.

 

Bobby Austin is looking for another venue so that he can continue his party.
