Former Gaiety dancer Tyler is now called Rob, the manager of the new 20 Club.

Opening night was a big success as the club had a large turn out and 10 dancers to entertain the patrons.

The 20 Club is held in the gentlemen's club VIP on 20th St. between 5th and 6th. The parties are held on Sundays and doors open at 5pm.

The doorman and all security guards were all wearing tuxedos, there were youthful looking shirtless bar-waiters and, in addition to the dancers, there was a good looking masseur named Tim ready to relax your tight muscles and relieve your stress.

This is the nicest looking club I've been in for male strippers.

Costs...

Cover: $10.00

Coat check: $3.00

Water: $7.00

Beer: $10.00

Wine: $12.00

Mixed drinks: $14.00

Lap dances: $20.00 per song

VIP room: $200.00

Tips...$$$$$

No nudity is permitted, even in the VIP room and lap dances are done in the back seating area.

Lineup:

1. Smooth of the buffboyzz

2. Sebastian James, porn star

3. Thomas, a wild country boy

4. Gabriel, former Gaiety dancer

5. Mellow, erotic dancer

6. Matt, Lucas productions

7. Eddie, Stock Icon

8. Ricky Lewis, from Splash's Man-on-Man show, very well endowed

9. Arod, the entertainer

10. Jason, late arrival, boy-next-door type.

Rob/Tyler looked HOT in his white tuxedo jacket. He worked very hard to make this all come together. Sadly, 6 of the scheduled dancers were no shows.

It's great seeing a new male dance club opening in the Big Apple.

Sounds great. Thanks for the report Cooper.

NYC is probably the only place in North America where those prices would be tolerated. But if the guys are worth it, the customers will come! Too bad about the lack of nudity but perhaps that policy will allow the Club to stay clear of New York's finest and continue to entertain for years to come.

<<So, what do you get for $200?

it's my understanding you get the right to pay the dancer whatever he decides to charge you once you have rented the room. my assumption would be he wouldn't quote a low fee, figuring you are willing to rent the room for $200, but i could be wrong.

"So, what do you get for $200?"

The fees break down like this:

For 20 minutes...

$100 to the house for use of the room

$20 to the manager

$80 to the dancer

There is no nudity and no touching of the private area. As a result, I didn't see too many patrons taking a dancer into the VIP room. It is hoped that in time this policy will change... Tips and $20 lap dances aren't enough to make it worth a dancers time and, no nudity during a stage show, isn't going to get the regulars to show up each Sunday.

Shy, There were 10 dancers at Sunday's party, it was reported by Dude Nova that 20 were scheduled.

I was at Club 20 last night.

As expected Rob Pka:Tyler did a great job of converting this gentleman’s club into a gay male strip club. All signs of female presence except for a couple of patrons were gone. Even the outside sign was changed.

I think Tyler did an exceptional job in getting the party started on its first week.

Yes, about 6 dancers did not show, it’s the nature of the business (Denise where are you). For some reason all week dancers say there going to be there than last minute they no show without even calling. (Maybe there grandmothers died who knows)

I don’t think this party is better or worse than a Buffboyzz party or Gaiety show.

It is something different. This is a STRIP SHOW. Not a pick up or sex party.

The laws in NYC forbid touching or nudity where alcohol is served.

Rob and the owner of the club are committed to make this work for us and will be bringing in new talent and headliners weekly for our enjoyment.

They even said if we have special requests they would try to get those dancers to the club. It seems this Sunday party is a test, the owner is interested in opening a fully dedicated Gay Strip Club if this party works.

I think Club 20 deserves a chance to get started and I suspect based on the popularity and reputation of the VIP Club on other nights it will be a great success. This club has Classy written all over it Design, Sound, lights, Staff, Seats etc etc…..

Remember Tyler / Rob was a Headline Gaiety Dancer for 8 long years he knows what its going to take to make us happy and is fully prepared to do what ever it takes to make this work. (except dance for us, I tried)

"well, it was nice that eddie made it...though i missed it."

Shy, no question, Eddie was the star of this show. His stage experience from Campus and Stock made him look very comfortable and profession while on stage. He knows how to play the audience and was nicely rewarded. From what I hear, he made out like a bandit. Hopefully, he'll spread the word in the MTL clubs and more snow birds will arrive.

Eddie also danced at Saturday night's "Man-on-Man" show hosted at Splash Bar. Usually the dancers there are older looking and very muscular, Eddie was a welcomed addition. Thanks Taz for pulling this one off.

I agree that Eddie was a hit at both Splash and Club 20. He said this was his first time in NYC and really enjoyed it. Since the show at Splash got over at 10pm he said he was able to spend the night wandering around the city and take in some of the sights. Hopefully he'll be back again soon!!!

I was not there, but based on Cooper's description and then Taz's below, Tyler pulled it off- a classy strip club with male dancers. I have been many times to classy female strip clubs the last 3 years and what Taz describes below is exactly how they are setup:

(a) The lap dances of male patrons with female strippers are in the back but in full view of everyone, the guy can't touch the stripper

(b) Not totally nude on stage, just a g-string

© Drinks are expensive (how the house pays the bills)and cute waiters keep asking you about buying drinks (Hustler Strip Club in NYC bad and there was one in Rome, that I was lucky to have gotten out of in one piece!).

(d) Lot's of security guys in tuxes who are very polite but mean business if you break the rules

(e) classy surroundings from the bathroom to the overall decor to the lighting/stage area.

(f) Expensive VIP rooms.

As Taz says, the Club 20 does not sound like a replacement to Gaiety format or to even BuffBoyzz party. This is a Strip Show in the classic sense and an alternative to Splash Man on Man Strip show, etc. I wish Rob/Tyler well on this venture.

"I'll try to make it down sometime soon."

Pelican, I kid you not when I say this, but with your good looks and fun personality, you could have been a dancer at this gathering. By any chance, are you looking for some part time work? I hope to see you after-math.

Cooper,

Your flattery is charming, and I appreciate it greatly. Now what would it take for us to get CK to feel the same way about me, eh? Hey, a man can dream, can't he? So glad to see you and Taz and the rest of the gang tonight. Thanks for all of the fun! See u soon.

I wish The "W20 Club" Much Success. Apparently they are looking for a Definite Type of Club Go'er...Whether or not they can make this a Financial Rewarding Club, time will tell. It does sound like it will take alot of "High Rollers", to make this place Fly...

Like someone else has said, there are Fine & Hot "Working Guys" in NYC for $200 AN HOUR...Not semi-public "Touchy-Feelie" for 20 mins ?

Personally they Lost me when, it was reported.. it would not be a Gaiety Type of Place! Personally I doubt there ever will be again...

So I will stick with "Man to Man" at Splash, til something Hotter comes along...IMHO of course..:7

In order for any strip club in NY to survive it needs our support. The manager at "the 20 club" is very open-minded and wants this place to succeed. Don't forget Rob/Tyler used to be a very popular Gaiety dancer. He knows what men are looking for. He had a very large turn out for opening night, now, he needs to keep the men coming back for more.... Some of us will contact our favorite dancers and see if they are interested, hopefully, MTL dancers will become interested.

I wish Rob/Tyler continued success. Sunday was opening night, and Rob is very interested in hearing from us. I won't just walk away from something that has a great deal of potential.

Cooper,

Thanks and good reporting for the rest of us on this new alternative strip club site for NYC. Sounds like a fun place to hang out with friends and see some hot guys mostly naked. People need to take as an alternative and not try to totally fit it in Gaiety of Le'Stock or even BuffBoyzz Private Party hole.

Have Fun!

call me cheap guys, but sounds tome like I"m out $25 just to enter, check my coat and get a cocktail ... without tipping the coat check or the bartender ... then i can pay $@00 to go into a backroom that offers a very limited experience ... sorry but I'll head to the townhouse, enter for free, buy an over priced cocktail and meet up with a handsome and doubtless much more amenable argentine boy. Some of us dont need the bells and whistles .... or the shirtless bartenders.

good luck keeping this running .. methinks it's short lived

Thanks for the update/debute report Coop !!!

I havent been able to make it to any of the parties and that has been a shame cause I always have fun.

I think John Pela is right...this club is another alternative to Buffboyz and the other places in NYC. Perhaps (most definitely) the VIP room would just be too much for me, but I am currently looking for a new job so maybe I will be able to afford it. The rest of the prices are kinda high but I usually drink water anyway :-)

I am sure I will give it a shot, as soon as funds allow.

Also guys, remember the first Buffboyz party ? The price of going for a dance was off the fucken wall with some of the guys, but that has changed a bit, at least with most of the guys. I always felt the most reasonable was Smooth, even though he was extremely limited. However, he fits right in with what the 20 club allows and at 3 times the price of buffboyz.

Like the poster before said, the only place u could get away with this is NYC, and this idea just might work...think it at least has a good shot of working.

BTW rumor has it that Val will be dancing at the 20 Club on Sunday.

Would love to come and see Smooth dance also, but I actually had a client scum me out of some money, so I think I will be seeing Hostel again this weekend for my entertainment.

Rendie,

you bastard !!! how lucky you are to get to spend all this time with Smooth unchallenged !!!! I will return...mark my words !!

Take care guys and hope to see u all soon

Thanks for the phone call from the last party Pelican !!! It reminded me of being in college when your drunk friends call from the bar and say "Dude, there is so much pussy here...get down here right now !!!"

You better hurry back, I may start writing poems about Smooth and Christian real soon.

enjoy

So I thought the night went well (I just got back from NYC for work, so sorry for the lateness of this post). I got there late (8PM-ish) thanks to "appointments" with a few old friends ;-) . "Rob" brought Eddie over to meet me -- and I'm glad he did. We ended up doing several lap dances and a few champagne room dances (I need to get back up to MTL soon :9 ). Rob was a bit disappointed with the cancellations but I told him that now he knew what Denise had to deal with.

I agree with Cooper – it is one of the best-looking clubs of its kind (Dick’s Cabaret in PHX is the same way). My favorites were Eddie (of course), the two build Latin looking guys and Smooth (although I didn’t have a lap dance with him :-( ). The one bartender was WAY built and hot. I told Rob he needed to get him up on stage. The staff was very nice and there were even cabs right out front (easy for us non-New Yorkers to get back to our hotels).

I spoke to Rob mid-week and he told me they are stepping up the caliber of guys for this and subsequent weeks. He says they look really awesome. I can’t wait until I’m back in NYC to make another visit.
