Actually, Taz, the just-completed machine recount puts Ben Versace's total at 7 votes. (Two fans accorded him second place and his #1 fan gave him the top slot.) But who knows? If the angry crowds now gathering at 46th and B'way demand a hand recount, the results might change again.

I know Im gonna get shit for this but, who is TJ. I have been on the Gaiety seen for about 6 months, and never went to a male strip club before. Is it possible that Ive seen him ? Here's he from ?

Congratulations to TJ. I don't think I have seen him perform at the Gaiety.

 

As of now I am planning to be at the Gaiety Monday afternoon on Jan 10th (possibly Saturday night on the 8th). I look forward to seeing Foxy and Cooper there. So I will look forward to seeing who is dancing this week and next weekend.

Last year GRoca made a crown, scepter and sash for the Mr. Gaiety 2003 winner. I guess Foxy and Cooper are going to do something similar this year?

 

I think Marlone did good in the vote count and he puts on a good show wherever he performs.

 

To answer (or guess at the answer) to Tazmanian's above question- Ben Versace is popular (or fondly remembered) at the Gaiety- got 7 votes (3 from his #1 fan) but: (1) he has not performed there since June 2004 and therefore not danced consistently there throughout the year, (2)there is some controversy surrounding him and Neo and Denise, (3)most people have read on this message center that he probably will not return to the Gaiety because of his fight with Neo (which is a shame for his fans) and (4) and probably most important he won last year (also was a close runner up in 2002) and 2004 is now the year for TJ and Trevor and others.

 

Last night in Chicago Ben Versace was a big crowd pleaser and surprise performer at Cocktail Bar on N. Halsted. He was a last minute replacement for one of the dancers who was a no show.

 

Special Thank you and Kudos (I'm sure also from everyone reading this) to ValleyDwellerNorth, Foxy and of course the Fab Cooper for keeping us all informed about the Gaiety dancers and posting their pics. And to NYObserver for his continued contributions to this forum and dancer updates.

If you check the first page of VDN's photo album of the nominees you'll see a photo of TJ. None of his pictures ever do him justice however. He's not only beter looking in person but it's his friendly personality that always wins people over, both on and off the stage.

 

I'm sure he'll be making a return to the stage in the next few weeks so watch this board for the announcement.
